Just giving another option if others want to watch videos that hurt the algorithm on TH-cam.
He and the team ARE educators. But given that he 1) does more than yellow iron 2) TH-cam algorithm wrecks non similar content 3) filming all the work and assembling the videos takes time and effort.
While there is monetization. It’s an offset to the inefficiency of filming it. How great is it that 160,000 people get to “look over the shoulder” of a group of talented mechanics to gain knowledge and be entertained. In addition get to choose what they want to see. People tip waiters $10-20 a meal for good service. Seems not out of line if you want to gain more great content.
The reason people are getting angry about the patriot is that alot of us are the viewers who helped him in his not only you tube success, but to some degree his business success. Now to repay those people he is making them pay for interesting videos. Thats cheap and gready.

Thanks for the update guys, being in the “Revered Senior Citizen” bracket and on a limited budget I unfortunately can’t do the Patreon thing, however having spent 60 plus years around maintenance workshops I really appreciate your channel content and the positive way you run your operation. Living in New Zealand most of the news we get about America is either Politics or Shooting atrocities, it’s great to see family style operations such as yours are thriving, good banter without profanity in the workplace sure is rare today, love it.
Yep, us AARPs on fixed income can't always afford to support through Patreon. But can buy some decals or swag that is unique to advertise our support.

Being a bit older than you, Clint, and being on a very tight and limited monthly budget I can not join the Pateron channel, but so enjoy your youtube channel, and enjoy all the rebuilds, and look forward to the next rebuild series on another dozer🙂

Most people struggling to buy groceries right now, oh wait, let me carve out an extra 20.00 a month so we can see a golf cart video. I enjoy the shop videos but think I will pass on having to pay to see them. It’s not that entertaining.

That Dressta 25C dozer is a behemoth. Pretty sure those winches are slightly more than 8K lbs. Purty darn cool 😎 The Ford backhoe is a nice set up. I've run one of those. Best wishes for all your endeavors, youse guys are good people that are fun to watch. Teaching the next generation to be skilled craftsman is one of the highest callings.

I already pay for the ad free subscription with regular TH-cam and add in TH-cam Tv, Google fiber and a couple of streaming services and now it’s seems, a bunch of you TH-camrs are wanting us to subscribe and pay. Well, I love watching. Appreciate the fact they're free to me. I'm not interested in what you mentioned, golf carts, monster trucks etc.. so , needless to say I won't be joining the tier program. Forget about it.
Many channels wants to know how much milk they can squeeze out of the cow. When I see it become too much I normally unsubscribe and block.
Well folks, the deal is this video platform we currently use and enjoy, does not, and has not paid content creators hardly anything for a loooong time now. Clinton, and others like him, use this more as advertising than anything else. He doesn't need the advertising to be honest, it don't hurt but he had a thriving pre you tube business. So. For those that want to watch videos as he described, you need to pay a small fee to get Clint to do even MORE filming and editing than he already does. It's work folks, he don't need more work unless there is an incentive to do so. It's pretty simple.

While I really enjoy the channel and rarely if ever miss a video and have purchased some merch I definitely will Not be signing up for Patreon nor will I be purchasing any more merch from the channel which last year was just over $150 and lastly like any other TH-cam channel that chooses to put content behind Pateron I cease to like or spend anytime commenting on videos from that channel.
