- Today I would to discuss, the Kingdom Hearts TV show for Disney + as I've heard nothing since reading an article about it in 2020 so today we talk about the possibilities of what could happen with the Kingdom Hearts Disney show, and what would it be like and what could it be about. Would it be a Re telling of Kingdom Hearts 1 or something new entirely.

Dear GOD help us all if this actually comes out. Disney is currently driving itself insane so I have NO faith that they’d be able to pull off a KH animated TV show. Especially when their animated division has been sucking hard lately and hasn’t been putting any kind of emphasis on animated shows. Anyone remember what happened too the Owl House?
Tbh I loved gravity falls, but haven’t seen the owl house, and I agree with you i don’t think it’d be great if they did it now or at any point soon. @@The_KingdomKey Thank you for the nice, wholesome comment! Also I agree with you as well, I loved Gravity Falls. The Owl House, Amphibia & Gravity Falls are the exceptions too Disney's lackluster animated shows.

@@christscrackers647 Gravity Falls also ended in 2016, 8 years ago. That's a long time and Disney was still on top of their game back then. So its not so much that Gravity Falls is an exception as much as it is belonging to a different era when Disney was still churning out great things.

Me personally I think it was scrapped, Disney has never much cared about Kingdom Hearts as made apparent by how they don't trust the devs with any creative liberties and want the new games to be exact copies of the films, the only exception to this being Pixar

I would love a soft retelling of KH 1 based on the manga.
And then a full series work up of Union Cross. Its tough since being the player character is so meta and they would have to choose manh things. It could be done. Without player as well.
Yeah that’s the only problem with the Union cross one if they did that, also I like a animated series around the KH manga as I feel the manga is highly underrated so it definitely deserves some love, I understand why you also don’t want to get your hopes up, but it’s fun to discuss. Honestly if they were to make an anime, a team I would trust the most with it is ufotoble, if you haven’t seen them they animated demon slayer and they could really nail the character design

I think it could work if they let some Japanese studio work on it with insight from Nomura and the creators. But good grief, get a new writer. I like me some serious talk just fine, but they really need to lighten up the dialogue to not take itself so seriously. I get that's where the charm is but there's way too much of it.

i think its still being made,they would probably release it while we wait for KH4 or something plus disney has been doing a lot of KH references on their shows and other stuff for some reason

I’ve been thinking about this too😂 Personally, I hope that they do make the show. Maybe start from BBS to Kingdom Hearts 3. Maybe use the manga, light novels, and unaired pilot to fill gaps the game struggles with.
That could be pretty cool and very interesting, tbh the manga has some darker moments, so that would be interesting to see but idk modern Disney probably wouldn’t. But it definitely would be cool. I have already heard of the Disney Expo this year, it will come in August, but I really hope maybe if we see New Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer or Kingdom Hearts animation series.
