A big fan of great taste team before because of Ricky brown " the quick brown fox" his the first pba player i idolize that's why i play basketball he's a deadly shooter especially in stop and puff.
Wow what an exciting finals game (first time to view it). Really appreciate the PBA games before this era of just jacking-up shots. Great defense and ball movement eh. Every video panalo!
Salamat aydol #AllanCaidic for this video. Tagal ko nang hinahanap to. You and Ricardo Brown are my first idols in the game. I have religiously followed your championship years and have watched it live for countless times - From GTC's first dynasty (4-Peat from 1984-1985) to your last championship with Presto in 1990 (G7, wala ka dun pero tinambakan niyo Purefoods he he he) - Solid fan niyo ako ni Ricardo Brown. Three times I crossed paths with you and 3x you graciously signed my shirt and pants for an autograph. More power to you idol 👍
Me stephen curry na pala dati hehe referring to naning valenciano.....thanks for this video sir allan coz I really admire you and ricardo brown the best shooters in the pba history
Hi mr. Allan caidic. Im a big fan of yours... If you had a copy of your game over ginebra where you scored 79points. Kindly upload your very memorable game. Thank you and more power
@@alicelex5515 It was in '89 when he broke Danny Florencio's 12 year record of 64. Paul Alvarez became the first player to reach 70 (scored 71 for Alaska) in 1990 against Shell before the triggerman returned the favor in 91.
Coach Allan, pls baka po meron kayo game nung nsa smb kayo ung kahit anung laban nio ng swift ung import si travis at harris....sir baka meron kayo wala hong ganung full game na makikita sa youtube eh...sana po mapagbigyan nio ako coach allan...

This is my favorite Great Taste team even though they loss the Open Conference to Tanduay, they came back strong in AFC ang bag this Championship against Hills Bros
I remember that 1st Conference loss to Tanduay. The difference were the imports. Michael Young bricked, ball-hogged and choked throughout the series for Great Taste while David Thirdkill was at his PBA best in that season. I felt bad for Allan Caidic who had his career night as a rookie (40++ points) go down the drain in their G2 OT loss, again courtesy of Young's meltdown in OT.
I'm still wondering why the quick brown fox went to SMB after missing the 88 season. The Gokongwei franchise was a juggernaut in AFC since Dalupan took over.
Rasheed Iverson Actually Brown played the ‘88 season for San Miguel after being traded for Pido Jarencio. The rumored cause for his transfer was GTC’s difficulty and reluctance in paying his import-like salary. Sure enough, GTC would disband their ball club by 1992 despite having the opportunity to field a lineup that would have included Allan Caidic (later released to SMB via free agency), Bong Hawkins (later traded to Alaska), Vergel Meneses (absorbed by Sta. Lucia when they acquired the GTC/Presto franchise) and 1990 Rookie of the year Gerry Esplana. Brown missed most of ‘89 with a heart ailment, only returning to help SMB capture a grand slam by winning the year-end Reinforced conference. He then missed almost all of the 1990 season, playing only one game (with a fantastic stat line, showing he hadn’t lost any of his abilities despite missing a majority of the last two seasons) before finally retiring for good. Ricky stated his weariness with the political situation in the Philippines as well as his health as the main reasons for his retirement. What is often overlooked is how much he would have helped the 1990 all pro RP team in the Asian Games; with a healthy Brown and Jerry Codinera, might the result have been different?
