LOVE CHINCHILLA!!!!! I love that she makes her own beats produces her own music. She’s multitalented just amazing amazing woman. And I also think she’s super beautiful. Thanks for covering her song. Been enjoying your videos.
This is the first time I have heard Chinchilla, except for the one song that I heard her do with Ren. This is really good and I loved it. Different, yet accessible. Smart and strong. As someone who lived through the era of Woman's Liberation, I definitely approve. Loved your enthusiasm.
LOVE Chinchilla. First time I saw this I was literally screaming. Love everything about her. I'm in my 70's and it's been a long, fucking struggle, but seeing Chinchilla gives me some serious hope. Sometimes the genie doesn't go back in the bottle dutifully. Sometimes it just keeps getting bigger. Loved your response to this.
hello dear!! i'd forgotten how much i enjoyed this track!! so fun!! chinchilla IS the boss, right?? i still get goosebumps when she sings 'i'll give you a fkn eclipse' good to see you rockin' this channel, love!! kathleen
She is extremely talented, but she is a trip! Not in a bad way, just different! Those nails and the wardrobe, wow! Nice to see you so into the song...😊
Great reaction, Elements seems to one of those tunes that gets you both thinking and boping at the same time. Chinchilla's Fabulous is a good one to follow up with (has a similar lyric video). Chinchilla was 22 when she released Elements (five years ago), having just graduated with a First BA Honours degree in Creative Artist / Music Industry Practice from the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM, London) - whose Alumni include Ed Sheeran amongst others. Chinchilla production ability shines through on this track, Elements style is very 90's with it's Bhangra influenced beat and 'world music' stylings combined with very contempoary production and evocative lyrics.
I'm a sucker for this harmonic minor "middle-eastern" vibe, so I'm in from the start.... then the obvious time & care she has invested into layering up those dozens of vocal tracks to create the melodic / harmonic body of the thing while she talks her sh!t over the top of those perfectly-rumbling-into-distortion bass 808s with the lead vocal.... o_O She can give me a fcukin eclipse anytime she likes!! This is SO satisfying. :)
Is it wrong that I chuckled all the way through my first playthrough? Is it wrong that I've played this a few times (so far)? I am a Chinchilla fan, but this is the first time I've heard this. ❤❤❤ Elements = Me, Indivisible Thank you for the reaction!! Loved this!
This should be right up there at the top on the radio playlists. I don't listen to the radio except in passing and this sounds as good as anything I've heard, even better.
Chinchilla is the living embodiment of female empowerment and I love it! My god she is amazing! If you haven't done already I urge you to watch her video "Cut You Off". I think it's her best song yet.
15.34 A lot of Chinchilla's influences are mainstream pop. It's probably even more apparent on her more recent stuff, kind of blends 'top 40' stuff from a number of decades together into her own sound. Gives it a kind of timeless quality that's hard to pin down as contemporary or classic. Also I think that's why she's struggled to break through as much as her talent is apparent. I think maybe 'too pop' for the indie crowd, and 'too odd' for the pop crowd.
You should check out "AWAKENING" it is a little over 20 mins but that is because it has multiple songs on it and the video is a visualizer. There has only been one reaction to it and I think you will like it the songs are so good my fav is "Bitches" love it..... ❤❤❤
I think Elements is a great choice to start on Chinchilla. Fingers live is another great song and shows her power, as you know. Then move onto Little Girl Gone and Cut You Off. Chinchilla is all anthems and female empowerment.
Her best song is not even in a video. It's from her "Moon Maintenance For Dummies" album, which was under a label, called "Trigger". There is a just audio track of it on TH-cam. If it was properly promoted it would have been a radio anthem for girls in US. And there are like no reactions to it. If you went chronologically from here, "Trigger" would be the next stop before getting to her new stuff, or the stuff with Ren. Also, her other duet with Ren "How To Be Me" is even better than "Chalk Outlines" Edit: I wrote that before hearing you refer to Elements as an anthem. Trigger is even more so. Completely different feel, but more.
Lol. I loved it when you finally remembered that you were supposed to be doing a breakdown? Miles too late. Enjoyed you enjoying the song even more though.
My nf friend! Ummm….. yes ma’am you better go ahead and feel this song lady !! It’s powerful and badass! I LOVE me some Chinchilla!! I can’t wait for you to do NF’s song HOPE!!!!!

"You give me sunset? I'll give you a fuckin' eclipse." has got to be my favourite oneupmanship lyric of all time, lol.
Yess!🙌🔥
great reaction .LOve Chinchilla so much!! I'm a man but I f++king love her attitude. She's really a queen

Such an underrated artist. I love this song.
Chinchilla's 'Lockdown Getdown' is soooo groovy and quirky. I haven't seen many people react to it but I love it. Hope you get to check it out!

She's got some bangers. Trigger is a good Friday song.
This is my favourite reaction to this! Its amazing seeing other women react to chinchilla ❤

She is extremely talented, but she is a trip! Not in a bad way, just different! Those nails and the wardrobe, wow! Nice to see you so into the song...😊
This is my favourite Chinchilla song. I really relate to how it is impacting you.💕👍🦇
This is my favourite track a smidge more than Fingers.

Thank you for the reaction!! Loved this!
I think she's like 21-22 years old here. This song is 4 years old and i think she's like 25-26 today.
This should be right up there at the top on the radio playlists. I don't listen to the radio except in passing and this sounds as good as anything I've heard, even better.
Terms and Conditions and Trigger are also amazing.

Wonderful reaction. It criminal that Chinchilla isn't massive, treated so poorly by the music industry.
This song is 🔥🔥🔥
🙌🔥💯

She's like 21-22 in this video
Trigger is another good one, there's a video of her rehearsing 😁

Trigger is awesome!! And Know No.
Beyonce heard Trigger for sure. Then went and made her Texas Holdem song.
TRIGGER FTW
Great reaction, subbed for your Ren journey I'm so jealous, you have so much fun to come
Yay, thank you! ☺️
Been waiting for this one. This song hits hard AF. Not my style, but she is a captivating performer.
It such a fantastic song. I would to hear what Chinchilla could do with it today?
