Just to be clear the NRL is Australian Rugby League it is not rugby union that is a completely different game. In Australia we refer to the 2 rugby codes as either league or union. If you say rugby people will probably think you are referring to rugby union. These are just 100 of the NRLs biggest hits I dont think they are supposed to be ranked in order. What made this list and in what order they are only be the opinion of whoever made the video. In the couple of years the NRL have outlawed the use of the shoulder charge so although the tackles are just as hard some of these would have put resulted in the tackler being put on report for further action or cost them 10 minutes in the sin bin. The NRL will be opening its 2024 competition with 2 regular season games in Las Vega in March.

Rugby league isn't really played here in Scotland. It's mostly Union. (Different rules). England and Australia are big on League. I once went to a Rugby league match at Leigh and I've followed the Leopards ever since. Great to watch.

Hey man, great video! You should definitely react to Jorge Taufua x Steve Matai biggest hits. They both played on the same team and both won multiple times tackle/hit of the year.

You're completely correct with the issue with the padding. Rugby (both Union and League) teach their players how to tackle properly. Nothing above the shoulders or below the knees is allowed, plus nowadays they have to attempt to wrap their arms around the player with the ball, which looks like the equivalent of a spear from the WWE or wrestling. Those are good solid hard tackles. They can collide with each other, but they have to be careful where the collision happens, otherwise they'll get penalized, or depending on severity, given a yellow or red card.
In the NFL, because of the padding, they are more careless about the form of the tackle, grab above the shoulders to pull down, or worse, lead into the tackle with their head, with the false sense of security that the padding will protect them. That's where the NFL's biggest issue is and how they don't know how to address or deal with good strong hits and tackles without padding. And for those saying that the padding is for the safety of the player, it should be made known that not a single Rugby player - Union or League - has ever died from a hit or any other type of incident on the field. I'll even throw in the AFL (Australian Rules Football) into that mix as well, as both forms of Rugby and the AFL have been around for 50+ years longer than the NFL.

As far as I know, the tackling and pads to no pads issue isn't opinion, it's more fact, based off of head trauma and CTE and rarara injuries in the NFL and League/Union. Like I'd honestly say NFL greatest tackle highlights are more fun to watch, because you guys just go head first human missile into each other, fun to watch, not fun for the brain rattling around inside that helmet/skull in 25 years afterwards

    Please don't call this RUGBY!
THIS IS THE AUSTRALIAN NRL/ RUGBY LEAGUE!!
RUGBY is short for rugby union, totally different sporting code. Either call it NRL,league or Rugby league but definitely not just rugby. Rugby league is so much more intensive than rugby union in many, many way's.

Padding or no padding....Nfl players are a joke at tackling anyway.
