Jay I'd have to check his height again because I think he might be taller than you mentioned because some of those players were 6 foot 7,6 ft8 9&10,& he was no shrinking violet.

You can’t tackle a player not in possession of the ball so there's no intentional blocking like in the NFL and the tackle must be shoulder-height or lower with an attempt to wrap your arms. If you hit above the shoulders, you get penalized and even sent off for 10 mins (yellow card) or the rest of the game (red card) depending on the force and level of danger of the hit.
There's gotta be some leeway allowed then because there's countless times where the dude gets rid of the ball and up to 5-8 seconds later gets demolished
