- RetroSkins fans - do you love dropped third down passes and punts, punts, punts?! Well, step right up for this epic Browns vs Redskins showdown from 2008, the mythical Days of Zorn.
The Browns were coming off a Monday Night upset of the Giants (how did THAT happen?) in which they racked up 464 yards of offense (that’s how)… so, maybe they were tired. While Washington was able to move the ball somewhat in the first half, the two teams combining for countless punts (well, it was around 10 when we lost count) and one heart-stopping missed FG attempt by the Skins.
But fear not, gentle You-Tuber. After intermission, this scoreless snooze-fest gets a jolt of caffeine, picks up speed and goes down to the wire at the end - just the way we like ‘em! The Redskins’ valiant goal-line defense deserves high praise for holding the Brownies (mostly) out of the endzone allowing Washington to escape with a hard-fought win.
The endlessly chatty duo of Ian Eagle and Solomon Wilcots on the call here for this CBS broadcast from FedEx Field (when is that going to get renamed.. or demolished?)

I flew into Washington from London to watch this game. The day before I watched Maryland play Wake Forest. It was a dream come true watching the Redskins in person

This is the only Redskins game I ever attended in person. I was 10 rows behind the Cleveland Browns bench on the 50 yard line. Now since Devil Dan sold the team, I'm praying they bring back the Redskins name.

This was my 30th Birthday! I took off from work and spent a good portion of it at my parents' house. Thank you Redskins! Last time they played on my birthday was in 2014 and they squeaked out a win over the Titans. HTTR! I wasn't fond of the white over white uniforms but hey, they won!
Jim Zorn actually got MORE potential out of Jason Campbell than any other coach.

this was my first ever Washington Game that I attend as teen growing up. Loved every second of it and got to see both Portis/Moss store a TD . I was seated on the far right endzone where Moss scored the TD on

This was only the second meeting against the Browns since 1991. The Redskins won their last three against Cleveland before the ill-advised name change.
It’s true. Because Cleveland dipped out in the late 90’s becoming the Ravens before returning as an expansion team into a crowded 6 team division, Washington didn’t face the Browns again until realignment regulated the schedule to avoid big gaps like this. The Bengals also disappeared from the Redskins schedule over that same 13- year period.
