I’ve had sleep paralysis twice (both in my childhood home that was/is haunted coincidentally). Both times, the exact same thing happened. Once with a lamp on, once in the dark. To make a long story shot, it caused me to have claustrophobia to this day as I saw the walls closing in and figures shifting on the walls. I know that my eyes were open because I never blink in my dreams (I have very vivid dreams and lucid dream often) and the one thing I could do was blink and close my eyes. Idk. It was not a fun experience and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
if you have sleep paralysis its recommended that you close ur eyes if you can and try breathing deeply as u try to wiggle your fingers or toes so you can wake urself up hope you dont have to deal with that again

As someone who runs pretty fast, the first was legit. If a human would run so fast, he would be bent over with his arms moving. Its hard to run without your arms and standing straight up, let alone that fast. And the fact he was talking to the balloon is just a fear response, i talk to things i find scary.
i used to get sleep paralysis when i was prescribed a certain medication, your eyes can sometimes open or blink rapidly, but your brain and body are still asleep so you begin to hallucinate. another similar phenomena is hypnopompic hallucinations where you hallucinate right after waking up, your dream remains in your vision and you see snakes on your bed for example

What he says about sleep paralysis is just plain wrong. You aren’t inherently asleep during sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis is when your muscles get paralyzed too early or stay paralyzed too long. Your body paralyzes your muscles so you don’t move around too much while you’re asleep. So, while it’s not uncommon to be half asleep during sleep paralysis, it’s not a 100% guaranteed thing.

They probably just didn't notice the draft. It's still a bit odd because you need quite a bit of wind to blow it out and it would've likely been noticable but it can happen and is in my opinion more likely than some ghost getting a little impatient lol
