Freakin icon! She is a real one. Been with her from the beginning and I'm so proud of how she has evolved as a human being and an artist.
I grew up with her as well and I think she's taken fame pretty well. The world is a shitty place and she has aged gracefully through out all of it.

We often think of "fearlessness" and "courage" as synonyms, but they really aren't. If you're afraid, but you do it anyway, that's courage. It's a lot easier to be fearless when you're stupid, but if you're smart, you're also going to need courage.
Nobody is doing it as well and as consistently as Pink. She's awesome. Never had a bad album or a bad perfomance.

Pink is a Virgo like me. I believe fear is there for a purpose. Fear tells you to slow down, take a look around, & see if it is safe to proceed. Fear, in & of itself, is not a reason to stop dead in your tracks & refuse to go further; it is just letting you know, you are about to go out of your comfort zone. If you have any sense of curiosity, proceed onward letting fear be your guidepost; it will let you know when you need to zig or zag & when to forge straight ahead. Onward, My Sisters & Brothers; The Journey Is Amazing!

I rarely watch the interviews because they're always cut so abruptly when it's just going good, but for her (and John Oliver) I always make an exception.
If I had to name my first musical crush, it would be her. Not *just* because her first major successful album (I know it wasn't the first-first album) was a big part of my teenage years - thanks for that, btw. Definitely gave me a solid base for being an adult - but also because she's such a unique and interesting artist. Smart, talented, brave when it comes to genres, insanely attractive, not afraid to say what she thinks in her music and anywhere else.
I was astonished that she isn't a mega-star in the US( Which I consider a blessing for her, actually) because over across the pond where I live, she definitely is considered such.
I might not always like every song she makes. Some are a bit too... meh. But when she gets it right, she gets it RIGHT

Pink is the epitome of a rock star. Coming up in the 70's I was living the rock and roll dream. The disco Era almost did us in and then music went down hill from there. When I heard Pink in the early 2000's I said we're back! She will live on as a music icon.

I have seen this amazing woman perform in a big stadium and it was incredible. I also had the very good fortune to see her at a small venue in 2008 - the Metro in Sydney. This is one experience I will never forget.

The direction our Country is going in is very concerning, the inability of the two factions in Congress to come to any compromises is threatening the ability of our Country move forward and get things solved. This is bad. They have become factions whose only concern is their side "winning" whatever issue is at hand. This crap needs to change. Our Countries' Governance is a worldwide disgrace. Honestly, I don't see any simple fixes, it seems fully broken, the quality, that is the intelligence and integrity of the members seems to have cratered. I'm very depressed about the future of the US at this time.
There are two people I'm going to hate tonight for no good reason.
Let explain.
My father took me with him to his country when i was only 2 and died when i was 6.
During that short period of life, I knew love through his eyes.
On his deathbed, he told me to be good and that he will always be with me.
Pretty intense for a 6yr old?
The I grew up and went back to find my mother in her country and after one year of searching, she dies while I'm driving there.
So I have to ask them, is there a bar wherever they are and a chair where they sit and tell stories about me?
Is there a special place where they go to watch sunset?
Is there a song that they can't wait to share with me when I get there?
I love P!NK. Always have. So when I saw her with Steve, I thought it was just going to be another opportunity to drool over her.
Then I listened to when I get there.
And now I'm crying. Missing my dad.
And for that, I'm going to bet tonight hating Stephen Colbert and P!NK. For all the wrong reasons
