Awesome! I’ve just recently started practicing sign lettering and seeing the process is invaluable. Instant subscribe.
Question, what do you use to weatherproof the edges of the MDO board after cutting?

H Joe, thanks for the support and I hope some of our videos are helpful to you. This particular project was for an interior sign, so the board was prepped on the face and edges with several coats of Kilz primer, however for exterior we normally do a skim coat of Bondo auto body filler around the edges to fill in any gaps or openings followed by Kilz before painting, but having talked with other sign painters around the world over the years, it seems everyone has a slightly different approach based on where they are located and what their weather is like, but the Bondo/sand smooth/coats of primer approach has been how we do it for many years.

Thanks! There's so much stuff that I take for granted because I've done it so many times, but excited to share some of the behind the scenes projects like these

Great work! Can you share what the device you use to perforate the pattern into the paper before you pounce it?

It’s called an Electro Pounce, it was invented in the early 60s by some neon sign makers
