As CEO she was entitled to give those four people bonuses of up to $150,000 each which she decided against in favour of the Cartier gifts which were worth just under $5000 each. It was a sentimental gift to those people’s contribution for securing a deal that was very beneficial to Australia post and the community. It has nothing to do with tax payer money.
