Animals are the better humans and for some people they are like their children if they don`t have their own. About parenting: Children are brought up here very independently and teenagers are "adults", they are allowed to vote, drink (by law), many work after leaving school at 15 or 16 (in addition to their apprenticeship) and can determine their own lives. In Nigeria, 30 percent of girls are married before their 18th birthday and over 12 percent are married before they reach the age of 15, when parents, relatives and adults decide their lives. In Austria (and most European countries) it was very similar 60 years ago, but thank God we have developed further!
