I'm an Indian Citizen, but I've always been an admirer of Mr. Carter's humility and transparency as a political figure which is very rare. An unlikely candidate amidst the watergate fallout, and he pulled it off unlike no other. Just how many can truly be remembered more as a Citizen than a President. There won't be anybody like him, ever. It's up to humanity now carry this inspirational man's legacy for generations to come.

Jimmy had to deal with a terrible number of circumstances (inflation, gas, the hostage crisis). Boycotting the Olympics probably finally ended his re-election chances. One of the last non-corporate presidents. RIP Jimmy Carter ❤🎉

    JIMMY CARTER'S "100 YEARS OF IMPACT" !!
Tears are the raindrops of the soul
And there's one for all who die.
They are the silent words of grief
As they fall free from the eye.
The shortest verse in the Bible
Is the one where Jesus wept
So, if you hold back tears, shed them
When your pain is too harsh to accept.
Tears are lovelier than a smile
When they come from those you love
As they seek relief from sadness
    When you're summoned from above.
Tears are a love-mates humble gift
When it's time to say goodbye
Though the eyes are wet and swollen
With time and patience they dry.
Time wipes tears from all faces
Whose hearts are tuned to sorrow.
Those that cry a thousand tears
    Shall be blessed by tomorrow.

Jimmy didn't have to take over the Peanut farm. If you read any of Carter's books you will learn that Jimmy's brother Billy thought he would take over, and was hurt then Jimmy shoved him aside. Jimmy wrote that Billy was the more intelligent of the brothers, but got no recognition.

    • @MrJuvefrank
      @MrJuvefrank วันที่ผ่านมา

Maybe ol' Jimmy miscalculated when he wrote Billy was more intelligent. Jimmy joined the United States Navy to get educated, but the only reason Billy joined the United States Marines was to provide for a wife to be. I never heard of anybody proving Jimmy was part of scandals, tax evasion, etc., but Billy was caught doing sneaky things with Egypt, and he lost his gas station when the I.R.S. learned of Billy's tax evasion schemes.

If Jimmy's parents had all that money, they would have wanted amenities like electricity and running water.
