Boruto is just an simply anime for the nowadays public, with all those isekai crap. In addition to the entire story being focused on children being happy and messing with the great script written in previous works (like the characters going after a former great villain to get autographs on cards), even the style and investment in animation is weak, like that of several animes nowadays. In Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, there were entire episodes that were well animated, because something big would happen during each minute, in Boruto, the most that happens is in a scene that lasts a few minutes, well animated, like Naruto's Baryon Mode.
