Honestly I think "cocky and big-headed" kinda suits him more over "mysterious and lonely". He's the MC of the series after all. It would be odd if the face of BB was barely interacting with the rest of the gang.
Yeah I think Rez originally being more quiet helped him stand out from a lot of mobile game MCs (which usually have the same loud and cocky attitude) and it made him feel more intriguing when involving the lore of the second game (excluding the personality change)
