Alternative Surfaces: Inside Out with Rocky Lewycky

  • This demonstration explores surface textures and color that migrates from the inside out. Rocky shows burnout materials such as garbanzo beans, split peas, and mung beans. Learn to make Porcelain paper-clay and Micaceous clay and apply terra sigillata. Finally, two short hand-buiding demonstrations will wrap up the session, an altered coil method with our paper clay and burnout beans, and a hump mold bowl with our Micaceous clay.
