What a great compromise between a full roll-off roof obsy and just a covered pier/mount!! This definitely made up my mind as to what to build. Leaving the scope attached is key for quick imaging setup as an alignment isnt necessary. I live in a cold climate so I'll have to insulate/vb mine to keep the humidity out. Thanks for sharing this!!
Hello, very interesting your observatory. I'm trying to build something like this but I'm very worried about the warming issue on very sunny days. Would not the telescope be affected?
Do you have precise instructions to build the roll away portion. I have a pier already made. I had planned on purchasing a NexDome but its so expensive. This would be much cheaper however I am not a woodworker.
Very nice. And you have the lovely bird songs for a soothing atmosphere. Lucky you. What material was used for the structure? I am planning on something to permanent setup my stuff.

Thats a really nice solution! Something like this would likely suit my needs. I need to remive a few more trees yet though! Well done!
I like your observatory is great! Have you ever used your shed as a warming room during observing?
really nice effort, hope you get some good sky.
