Bend is too expensive for most people to live here but its still the best place in the US. When I moved here 40 years ago the population was 18,500 and houses were affordable.
I am moving to bend in the next 6 months. I will be renting an apartment for a while. Any suggestions? I like the detached com-lexes over the big all in one building types. And I have dogs.
Great question Kristin, and I wish I had an great answer. We deal with buyers and sellers and don't have any experience with apartment complexes or their pet statuses. I do know that there are plenty of options these days as we have had many new complexes come online in the past couple years.
The mountain views have been ruined by all the development. We lived there for thirty years and were happy to get out. The town has been "Californicated". Either you live the rich life or you support those living the rich life. The REALTORS will welcome you....
Over crowded, over used and abused recreation areas. Overpriced for a small urban town surrounded by rural areas, it's like they took Cali, Portland, and Seattle and put that vibe in a small town, and the price tags. Though bend does put a shinny coat of paint on everything it's still got the downsides of smaller town life, so that city vibe is only on the surface. It's all smoke and mirrors folks, nothing to see here.
Thanks for the video.
We’ve been to Bend a couple times and it seems like a great place.
Probably the best video on Bend I’ve seen! Great job John!
Perfect description . the locals will be mad at you for letting the cat out of the bag
The cats been out of the bag for years
