I love Sea of Thieves. When they revealed the Pirate's Life dlc a year or 2 ago it may have been the most excited I ever was about anything at an Xbox conference.
I payed thirty dollars for that game, played about forty hours, and have never touched it again. It was just this horribly lonely experience with the work-to-earn (anything seeming worth it) desire seriously lacking.

Xbox should give game showcase events a month in advance. Then surprise everyone and have the showcase air within two weeks. And if people get upset or complain tell them they do this because of the leakers. So fans will go after the leakers on social media.
Diablo IV will sort of be my first Diablo game, outside of Diablo Immortal. It was actually Diablo Immortal that made me interested in Diablo IV. As Jez mentioned, some people are going to play Diablo Immortal, like it, and decide they want to play more, but don't like play to win games. Well, that was me. Enter Diablo IV.
If I were Xbox, I would bring back Project Gotham Racing, Lost Odyssey and just for fun of the old arcade days I could go for some geometry wars and mini golf 3D lol.

If the cma are against the cloud gaming aspect why do the ABK games need removing from game pass? Currently if a game can’t be played on the cloud it doesn’t have the cloud symbol, surely just flag ABK games not for cloud. No reason to remove them from Game Pass

As far as the ABK deal, I believe Microsoft was just keeping their head down because there were too many unknowns with the FTC, CMA, and EU. However, with the approval from the EU and now even China, I think Microsoft has a ton more breathing room.
They could more than likely defeat the FTC in court, and the CMA are looking like such clowns it will somehow get overturned.
Point is Microsoft's path to the deal closing has gotten significantly more clearer. Thus, they have wider room to move when it comes to making other smaller deals with developers and publishers. I don't believe they need to keep their head down going forward.
There is no clear path, they have a very long road.
1. Appeal CMA decision, which would take a year or two to decide and further adjudication back to the CMA. Where they could in theory reach the same decision even if the original decision is overturned.
2. Try and get FTC approval which could take a year or two.
3. In the meantime, they have to schedule a new merger agreement (which shareholders must agree on) with ABK as the existing deal expires in 59 days. They owe ABK $3b in July, so they are going to need even more billions.
Come back in a year or two.
@@GMako-xi7rc I said the path was clearer, not crystal. They have less unknowns now. They know where the CMA stands and the EU has approved. The EU approval alone is a huge win.
Microsoft could have a long court battle with the FTC, but they willost likely win that one. If that is the case the CMA is hardly of any signicance at that point. Microsoft could close the deal without their approval. As I said the path is much clearer than before.
Microsoft knows where all the players stand now out in the open. They can easily work deals around that and not have to worry about the whatifs as they may have been doing before.
@@plasticlife283 No they cannot close the deal without the CMA approval. None of this works like that.
Microsoft will owe ABK $3b in mid-July, if they want to continue they will have to secure a new agreement which will probably going to cost well over $3b more, and shareholder approval. Microsoft will have to appeal CMA and try and gain FTC approval. FTC is more troublesome as they are going after everything.
Either way for new deal, CMA process, and further adjudication... come back in a year or two. Even if successful, if they attempt it.... this won't be solved in 2023, and probably not in 2024.
The current agreement is dead as a door nail, to revive it.... is a very long road. The path is always clear... meaning process.... in this case its a very long path.

The ps5 ssd has literally ZERO to do with what is happening with performance in the industry. youre not really a graphics tech guy and THATS COOL! Weve got enough of those guys. If anything Digital Foundry made it sound as if Xbox is too easy to develop for. You just throw a build at the Xbox and it'll run without any optimisation. PS requires optimisation to run. PS also has the bigger market share, so they do more optimisation prior to launch. Meanwhile they Xbox versions are getting thrown out the door unoptimised because they run. Which is maybe why we see PS5 versions have an edge at launch and then the gap gets closed with patches. It's an Xbox problem though. They need to release games to showcase the power of the Xbox and make sure the user base it large enough for 3rd party Devs to spend more time optimising Xbox versions of games.
@@joshsfox6266 1000% yes. Its absolutely absurd that any game would ever run better on a ps5 - it should really never happen. I wouldnt necessarily expect some huge difference every time but it should be there. I think dev focus on the lead platform is a factor, but there also seems to be something else going on. Whats happening on pc shows further evidence that they arent getting enough time or resources to focus on making ea ver sing - none of these pc releases from multiplat devs should be coming out like they do.
I saw that Direct where John said developers are saying making the series port is sort of [too easy] / plug and play / whatever too and that just seems ridiculous to me, but then you do have a handful of games coming out that do have the series x delta one would expect, which kind of supports that idea. I also feel like yiu said - its an xbox problem. We cant deny that the buck goes to microsoft and their incompetency at managing things - yes Bethesda runs itself but there has GOT to be some accountability to make sure these games are coming out like they should - at all, yes but the fact that Ghostwire - a now first party game came out worse on xbox is unconscionable. They should be working with 3rd party devs for releases to make sure the xbox ver is hitting like it should.

@@joshsfox6266stop lying they did not say that, they’ve said routinely that dev much prefer the ps5 to develop on, it’s the best system they’ve ever developed on, the series s/x i/o is significantly weaker than ps5 (devs have already confirmed this in 2020), devs hate the series s & the x is weaker than the ps5, the facts & results speak for themselves, Xbox hasn’t even shown they can compete against playstation cross feb games ffs.
@@odedra01 I'm not lying. They did say some devs had voiced a preference for the dev tools on PS5 and that they were better supported. They could therefore optimise better. They also said that because of Xbox essentially using the same operating system, the initial porting process was easier. In conclusion its easier to get a game running on Xbox but easier to get an optimised version running on PS5. No one has said eventhing else here. We just didn't go into the detail of PS5 because we were talking about Xbox.
