The custom space background that moves to make it look like the train is traveling forward is so cool, but it makes sense that it doesn't show up in the map viewer. I think that alone should give a half point to decor/design. Love the vids by the way!
Oh, I was thinking that a map tier list, or maybe tier lists in general, would be some cool SS14 content I haven't seen anywhere else. Your particular commentary style and thought processes for what makes SS14 a great game would be super entertaining to see applied to tier lists.
Train's always struck me as a station that could benefit from something akin to SS13's tram from tramstation: quick, easy to understand transport from one side to the other that carries some sort of risk for people standing where they shouldn't (in tramstation's instance: standing on the railway tracks). The portals always feel a bit too spread out and it can be hard to remember which leads where without enough playtime. Maybe some sort of maintenance carriage on the side of the station that travels up and down to designated departments at a button's press?
Honestly, I would swap medbay/chem with Vito, and botany needs to be twice as big, I'd agree side car-ing it, but it needs disposals to chem and chef. Det and law is fine, I'd expect Det to hang at the bar more then other sec. Court room could be either a sidecar in the middle of train, or near bridge or medical. I do like the idea of courtroom covering grav tho. I think Sec is fine, because all prisoners should need to push though sec if they wanna escape without a suit.
im a huge fan of the armory design here. it's nice as hos or ward to just set a single door to EA and not have to worry about some trigger happy cadet drooling over the lethals because that part of the armory's still locked
the pain train is so real, one boom cuts the station in half x.x i think the teleporters are fine but they need some nicer looks, the current sprite looks a bit too big and wonky
First time i played here i got killed in the bar playing the piano, hos walked in, ignore my corpse on a pile of blood followed the killer and literally no one notice the pool of blood and corpse until a janitor decide to clean it
I played on this station for the first time today and it wasn't particularly fun. It's super unique so I don't mind it being in the map pool but it'd have to be very rare.
