Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled the country on August 05, after hundreds of people were killed in a crackdown on demonstrations that began as protests against job quotas and swelled into a movement demanding her ouster. Mobs stormed unopposed into the opulent grounds of the presidential residence, carrying out looted furniture and TVs. One man balanced a red velvet, gilt-edged chair on his head. Another held an armful of vases.
Elsewhere in Dhaka, protesters climbed atop a statue of Hasina's father, state founder Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and began chiselling away at the head with an axe. The flight into exile ended a 15-year second stint in power for Hasina, who has ruled for 20 of the last 30 years as leader of the political movement inherited from her father, assassinated with most of his family in a 1975 coup.

🙏 सौरभ जी मैने प्रोफेसर S.D मुनि सर के विचार सुने काफी सराहनीय वक्तव्य रहा उनका मैं उन्हे दिल से शुक्रिया करता हूं । और आपको भी। हम लोगो ने हाल ही में हुए बांग्लादेश में तख्तापलट को देखा जिसका मुख्य कारण आरक्षण कोटा को लेकर था, और जिस प्रकार से यह हिंदू , मुस्लिम मे बदल गया जिस प्रकार हिंदुओं पर अत्याचार हुआ उनके मंदिरों में तोड़फोड़ हुई मुझे लगता है यह आरक्षण को लेकर नही है इसमें जरूर विदेशी ताकतों का हाथ है । जैसे कि हमने बीते कुछ सालों में देखा दक्षिण एशियाई देशों में अस्थिरता का माहौल बना चाहे वो अफगान ,पाक, नेपाल,श्रीलंका, भारत या फिर बांग्लादेश हो एक दूसरे से रिश्ते बिगड़ रहे हैं। मुझे लगता है कि इसके पीछे अमेरिका, चीन जैसे देशों का हाथ है, और उसका उद्देश्य विस्तारवादी सोच है, जिसका परिणाम आगे चलकर गंभीर हो सकते हैं, इसलिए हमे अपने विदेश नीति को और अधिक मजबूत बनाने की आवश्यकता है। 🙏

Thank you Saurav, I am a huge fan of yours and have been following The Lallantop from very beginning. As a Bangladeshi, I want to make some points very clear that, BNP-Jamaat-Shibir alliance was never involved with or backing behind the recent Students' protest. I repeat, they never. Though Hasina govt. accused them for backing the students, they refused it. Actually they even failed to understand or forecast that students movement will be such a big deal, that eventually Hasina will fall down.
Secondly, the Anti-India context in Bangladesh didn't fall suddenly somewhere from sky, it has a vast background. BNP-Jamaat aliiance might have some political interests, but you missed out the issue that there are general public in Bangladesh who are not connected with any Political parties. They have seen the Awami League - India coalition and Indian opressive foreign policy towards Bangladesh. Awami League just looted Bangladesh and India helped theo in this process. So the general people, who has a legitimate hatred to Awami League, also treat India as collaborator of Awami League.
So, I think India is going to have tough time in Bangladesh coming days. As a fan of yours, I will recommend you to make reports on this. What is the peoples' view towards Indian here in Bangladesh.
