Looks like such a lovely restful weekend. I worked the Saturday putting in kissing gates to replace broken stiles, but had 2 extra lovely sunny days off in the Southeast. Thank you for sharing your world so nice to see other areas. Looking forward to your next ramble guide already

Absolutely. When I lived in Leeds I fell in love with the Dales. Did some camping in the Lake District as well. Missing it all so much. I live in Ireland now which is equally as beautiful. And yet.......my dream is to move back to the UK and to the Dales. Beautiful video, as always. 💜

Muker is such a hidden gem! It has a lovely pub, practically grew up in swaledale near to Muker in a village called Keld! I may be wrong but I believe its the half way for the Wainwright's Coast to coast 😊

You really are in my part of the country now Athena - I feel sure I'm going to bump into you one day!! You said you went through Muker.... You may remember passing a shop called Swaledale Woollens (next to the place with the sheep on the roof). Well, I am a handknitter for that shop, and have been for the last 14 years. I'm off to Wensleydale for a walk one day next week. Must visit the Bake-Well some time.

We took a little walk in Askrigg when we were visiting the UK in 2015. I think we walked up a path past an old mill along Paddock Beck and then circled back around into town from the north. It was a pretty walk.
Was in the Lake District 2 years ago (from Australia) for Easter. We rented a small cottage in Outgate near Hawkshead and the weather was absolutely amazing for the 4 days - cloudless and 23 degrees! I have fond memories of getting my milk delivered in glass bottles - just like going back in time!

So nice to be able to walk from your house ,up a hill and cook dinner. The bonus being a view like that. I’ve never been to the peak or lake districts but we do have a break at Ullswater and Windermere booked for September so that ticks one off. Lovely vlog,thanks so much for sharing it with us

Thanks for taking me down memory lane! I know those walks so well. When the bluebells come out there's an amazing wood on the right hand side after Middleton Bridge, opposite the layby. Keep on the footpath and it leads to a lovely wide and still pool for swimming.

Enjoyed seeing more of the area you live in. It's beautiful, peaceful, tranquil, & very inviting. Harvey is good with potting plants. Are these plants perennials? Our threat of last frost is usually May 15th in the area I live in. So very much enjoyed your video. I Love old Churches, bakeries, walking through the fields, burgers on the grill, breath taking sunsets.

Thank goodness you've come across my favourite area, in the world, Wensleydale, ! If you get a chance , lake Semerwater across the hills from Hawes is sublimely peaceful with its little hamlets like Marsett and Stalling Busk ( once stumbled across a little summer village hall event there and the locals talked to me as if I were...local , unforgettable, thanks again for a fab video can't wait to go back to where my walking heart is.

We love a chilled out video, the weather really pulled out for Easter weekend and it was truly wonderful. I have been to Hawes and Muker when I was staying in West Stonesdale and I truly love it there. I am planning to go ack this summer for a truly wild experience amongst the wild rivers, grazing cows and little villages. I am incredibly jealous of where you are living but so happy that I can aspire to have something similar one day. I hope you are all keeping well and looking forward to more constant warm weather!!

There's a great walk up Dodd Fell Hill from Hawes - we went up in the snow over winter but I'll have to go back now to include the cafe stop at the end!

Great Sharing! Lot of love and respect from a solo mountain hiker from Chitral Pakistan.
As a Biker I know Hawes well and the Bikers Café at the end of town is often packed inside and out with Bikes parked all along the street. As you like cheese. The Wensleydale Creamery is close by and well worth a visit. Car Park is free! The old Railway station did, as you may know run out to Garsdale Station (Formerly Hawes Junction) on The Hawes Branch Line. It closed in 1964 but they hope to reopen one day which would be brilliant. Garsdale Station is well worth a visit. Original Signal Box, great walks down to Dandry Mire Viaduct and the Moorcock Inn close by! In the waiting room on the UP side you can see some of my images of The SCR railway. Free parking of course!! 😊Such a great place to explore.

Can almost smell the fresh air in the (as always) lovely video! Super sun spot in your back yard, amazing view. What make is the day pack please? I think I recognise it but can't remember the brand name 😊 My day pack is just a tad small for squeezing in an extra layer/waterproof! Have a lovely weekend ☺️
