  • Here is a simple fingerless mitten or fingerless glove knitted on an LK150 machine with worsted weight yarn. It is for women's size. I have big hands so you might want to reduce some rows to make it shorter.
    It is mostly done in one piece except the ribbing for the thumb. It is easier to pick up the thumb stitches and hand-knit a few rows of the ribbing.
    There is one seam on the thumb side. You can use a flat Bickford seam. Video link of the Flat seam for part 2 of the woman's sock knitting here: • Part 2 Sock knitting o...
    You can use DK or sports weight yarn. Just need to adjust the cast on and row numbers according to your swatch. The thumb increase number can be adjusted too.

    So glad I found your channel! I bought an LK 150 20 years ago but then never got to do much with it. Last week my daughter wondered about the "box in the garage". We had to buy some supplies that were missing, then opened it up two days ago. Your directions are so good that I finished my first pair of fingerless gloves already today! That would have taken me a month to finish (sock weight yarn, so many tiny stitches). I am now working on a tuck baby blanket and poncho too. Thank you for such great directions.

    Thanks for sharing. Where can I find written patterns for knitted projects on superba machine?

    I enjoy your videos and always learn something new. Do you think this technique would work for a closed top mitten? I'm not as experienced as you but I think I might try. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.

    Is this a worsted weight or sport weight yarn?

    I sit possible to do the thumb on the machine if you dont have cirular knitting needles?

    • @brianlewis6774
      @brianlewis6774 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, just cast on to the machine however many thumb stitches you have and knit it as long as you want. You can either do stocking stitch or ribbing. Then use the Kitchener stitch to graft the piece to the mitten. Make sure the top of the thumb is stretchy.

    What size is your yarn? Is it worsted weight or sport weight?
