Omie did explain Marty's motivation for trusting X. Cause in 3.0 nobody trusted his character and treated him like nothing. The only character that gave him a chance was Jon Paul and that's why he wanted to trust him this once to pay him back for the trust he gave to him years ago.

Then X told marty about his scheme that he would created a new crew, become unfriend to anybody, he asked him to join him or no, also told marty to screw his own group (404).
X then stole marty group's 5 USBs, and would trade the last green with company. But marty didn't want to, then this happened.

This is a bad move. X sets himself back by giving up his racks. He won't be able to build up quick enough without help and doing this ruins the only relationship he has left. He loses the trust of everyone else and the GPUs to rebuild for a crumb of progression. OTT is right. If he goes through with this no one will ever trust JP. Everyone will eventually progress and when the next thing happens and no one will want to involve him in it. He will be first in this, but he will lose ever being first in anything else.

The title of the video is so misleading if you would’ve watched the stream x had no intention of actually robbing marty he called ott to trade all the racks he stole for a green usb to finish his and marty’s usb set. Marty didn’t even give him the chance to speak when x met back up with him to go make the trade for the last usb but just shot him
Although i will say it is x’s fault for fucking around with marty and should’ve made his intentions more clear. But x just thought that marty trusted him and would know x would never fuck him over
