- At a press conference last week, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that ""the operation of the Ukrainian army in the Kursk region is one of the directions in our plan for victory over Russia"" and that actvity in Russian territory had slowed down the offensive towards Pokrovsk.
Ukraine's four-part victory plan includes: destabilising the Russian state through military action on its territory, positioning Ukraine in a strategic place in the world's security infrastructure, creating a diplomatic package to force the Russian Federation to end the war and extensive economic measures.
The Ukrainian president said that he would present the victory plan developed by Ukraine to U.S. President Joe Biden in September.
""Biden is expected to be the first leader to see this plan. The success of the plan depends on him, whether (the US) will give us what is in this plan or not, whether we will be free to use what is needed,"" he added.
Our very own Don Arleth spoke to Dmytro Topchiy, the Co-Founder of Liberty Ukraine Foundation which has been fundraising for the Ukrainian Armed Forces since 2014 (@doping_ua) and Jon Sweet, a retired military intelligence officer (@JESweet2022) about Ukraine's extensive efforts to strengthen its position ahead of possible peace talks.
We also linked up with our correspondent in Kyiv (@OzKaterji) who gave us an update on the situation of the loss of Ukraine's first F-16 pilot and fighter jet.

UN would be good for peacekeeping on Belarus border. If you would tell the world Russia is not a member.
The UN should remove the positions of permanent members of the security council. The world has obviously changed a great deal since WW2. Certain criteria reflecting UN values and mission could be established for PM of the SC. There are many intelligent creative people who could come up with a solution that could help the UN maintain revelancy moving into the 21st century. The UN must evolve.
@@georgine321 There is nothing wrong with the UN except it is pretending a non member has control over it. Without that frankenstein, the remaining permanent members operate as a safety valve. it would be good if a 2/3 General Assembly majority could overrule vetos, but a unified UN could use trade boycotts to deter the permanent members vetoing in contravention of Article 24.

Poland has announced that if another shell lands on their border, they will take military action against Russia, a grave declaration. The Baltic nations are also looking to engage in the conflict with Russia. Contrary to some beliefs, Ukraine is not without allies; they are adhering to the strategic advice of Western powers. If long-range weapons are supplied without authorization for their use, Ukraine could potentially reverse-engineer these weapons to produce their own missiles. It seems harsh to provide weapons to an ally and then restrict their use.
