I think it is encouraging and makes sense for PAF to look at different aircraft design concepts when considering its future requirements
T50 in my opinion is a superior design as compared to its contemporaries including the the F22 and therefore definitely worth considering with some modifications of course
Also, another thing, GIDS is only a marketing front, they don't actually carry out R&D and manufacturing, that is done by SPD organisations who produce the weapon systems and GIDS markets them for export and sale.
Kaan is a F-22 type of fighter because it's main function is A-A combat. I'm not implying that it will be near in it's capability to that of the Raptor. PAF needs highly stealthy manned and unmanned aircraft with internal bay stand off capability for long range subsonic and intermediate supersonic cruise missiles and a ALBM. A much stealthier and lighter J-20 is what PAF needs. A-A capability should be secondary, but it should have the ability to fire A-A laser weapons. It's data networking needs to be similar to the Gripen along with satcom communications.
I think these designs are only for basic studies and feasibility studies (or just for display and nothing more). We don’t have the funding and full technical know-how to produce multiple different designs at the same time.
We should work on our own project azm too

Yes, PAF has acquired the Akinci A and I believe that there might be a good chance of acquiring the Akinci B as well. Turkiye will be manufacturing supersonic UAVS and UCAVS in the near future. I'm quite sure PAF will look into that too.

@abidanasreenqureshi8524 We are trying to do as much as we can, but we don't possess the complete infrastructure, and research base/talent to do it entirely independently. So there is collaboration with Turkey.

@abidanasreenqureshi8524 Turkey has a lot more experience than us if you check history, they used to manufacture F-16s in their country and also parts for the F-35, while we only produced 50% of the JF-17 - they also have a huge engineering and talent base lots of infrastructure.
Pakistan may collaborate to design some of the systems that go inside the aircraft but use our own design, then manufacture it all inside Pakistan. Or maybe just fully manufacture the KAAN inside Pakistan but with our own radars and other systems.
There are many possibilities we will have to wait.
