Andharban, which literally translates to Dark Forest, lives up to its name. The forest trail unwinds through several streams and waterfalls. The trail offers some of the most amazing views of Kundalika valley and surrounding mountain ranges of Tamhini ghat. Andharban trek can be completed in one day.
It is a gradual descend trek, where you are already on height and you will descend till end. It is one of the most beautiful treks. We will be walking on a ridge offering an awesome view of the Kundalika Valley, Bhira dam and the mountain ranges of Tamhini ghat. Dense forest covers you with shade in the first half of the trek. Overall length of the trek is around 13 Km.
The trek further descends down in Konkan to reach Bhira, which is also the base village for the popular Devkund Waterfall.

You can get a local guide from the village and also register at the forest department there. Since the starting point and ending point of this trek are different and far apart, I suggest you to go with a professional group like RamblerIndia.
