Hihi if travel with kids, elephant sanctuary is highly recommended. James Bond and Phi Phi island hopping tours are also very fun for kids. If raining, can consider the Central shopping mall(Patong area), have a big indoor playground for younger kids. Or Rawai park if go Rawai for seafoods. Hihi the hotels don’t provide free shuttle, but they can arrange at a fee. Alternatively you can book online for airport pickup. I used Klook(a travel app) to book the 8-seater, around 30usd
