      That's all life really is, right? A constant battle to narrow the gap between who you are and who you're capable of being - moment to moment to moment.

    Reminds me of some old-school Tony Robbins ideas, especially about being "unrealistic". He had a Power Talk CD where he talked about raising your standards and becoming "unreasonable" in your expectations.

    Loved the video and the advice! But coming from the trading business though ive always been told to not set unrealistic expectations because it will affect my trading. A great quote I will always remember is: Set your goals incredibly high in life, that way even if you end up failing you will still fail above everyone elses success. Keep the hard work entrepreneurs!

    I am thinking about a new type of restaurants : eating-spots,
    in eating-spots, food keeps changing, chefs also rotate,
    this is opposed to current restaurants,
    thanks to this rotation of food and chefs, eating-spots are way more powerful than restaurants,
    along with that, there is an app,
    people vote for the food that will be cooked in the next days.
    menu is influenced by the live input of the people via an app.

    First, you must first notice how things have changed over the course of two centuries, from the 1800's to the end of the 1900's...incredible insights then discoveries in science, engineering, what reality is and what is capable in that real universe...I hate to be the pessimist here, but we have been confronted of late with a paradigm shift in our thinking...our scientific understanding of how the universe works, and therefore, how we can control it has sort of reached a brick wall...sure the computer has changed the way we live our lives, but isn't it interesting that we cannot develop a computer that by "brute force", random computation will come up with a way that we can develop anti-gravity cars or even stretching it a bit further, how we could make teleportion a la "StarTrek" possible...you would think that IBM's Watson would have been able to do that by now...but it hasn't no matter how many times we humans or even another collateral computer could tweak the input variables...now we become "successful" (read: have more money than we could possibly know what do with) by putting a spin on a new product "creation" which we claim will be life-changing (look no further than "Facebook"...life changing all right if you like all data about yourself shared with everybody on the planet) and then marketing this product to the max (read: shove it down people's throat until they say "Alright, I give!)...this, obviously, is the Steve Jobs approach, and it seems to be working fine this far.. but very soon , there will be a point of diminishing returns because as stated above, we have indeed reached a brick wall with regards to progress and basic understanding of how the universe works and how we can control this understanding to truly make for a better human user experience...

    All of the successful people that you say are able to articulate realistic objectives and goals to carry out their plans. Really successful people understand how to be realistic and get things done. You can’t just tell people that they need to be idealistic and it’s all going to happen.

    • @BedrosKeuilian
      @BedrosKeuilian  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Chad, you're right: understanding reality is important. However, really successful people know how to see beyond what other people think is possible and create a path where there wasn't one before. For most people, it only looks realistic in hindsight.

    It doesn't take much startup a business even a consulting firm. If you can find investors abd now high powered investors abd find a way to build strategic alliances and creative ways to keep people around you that are not easily influenced by people they have had intimate relationships with who might report to competition and who might create conflicts of interest later who could sink your business later intentionally. These people could cost businesses major capital and profit through lawsuits against your future capital and could spook investors later to expand on any innovative ideas to adjust abd evolve to make s business better and more competitive. But keeping an eye out for tangent opportunities that could turn inti a conglomerate that aids the initial business.

    Disagree. Winners mindset is to be optimistic, not un-realistic, there's an important nuanced difference. One causes a person to take pursuits pessimists might not, the other causes people to take pursuits that are delusional.

    • @successwithjays
      @successwithjays 6 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      David Liang I agree with being optimistic and at the same token most billionaires were considered delusional and unrealistic but they didn't give a damn who believed them. That's why they're where they are now. They believed in something most thought was crazy and they made it happen. Being unrealistic is simply believing and taking massive action towards something that seems impossible.

    • @CallileB
      @CallileB 6 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      David Liang I respect what you are saying but a lot of dreamers who never get anything done are "optimistic" , being unrealistic definitely has a better ROI

    • @SamuelAlder
      @SamuelAlder 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      except that what one man is optimistic about is "unrealistic" to another man with less vision.
      E.g, Earning 10 million in 1 year, starting from 1000€ investment, to some, impossible, to others, a challenge.

    Why won't these people just be honest? Becoming a multimillionaire involves a lot of hard work, requires one to frequently do things that one may not want to do, and isn't nice/pleasant/easy peasy. We all know this already (academically), but these people really need to emphasize all the crap they've been through and how they managed to get out of their sh*tty situations. I assure you that it's more than just "thinking big" or "being unreasonable".

    Seriously though,
    AAA++ Content!! Im in a wholesale business, currently set to be co-owner of said wholesale business. Iv recently been derailed a bit by my fellow peers in the work place, the owner who me and my business partner (his grandson) are purchasing from said the same thing to me the other evening with the mentality of "fuck them" !! Actually told me to keep being unrealistic and to push forward! Im on fire these last few days, the atmosphere around me is changing, I can see it but most importantly, I can fucking feel it!! Central Ontario is ours, ill conquer northern Ontario next, My competition doesnt even fucking see it coming!

      Yes, it does. Battle scars are how you learn. The best lessons you will ever learn in business come from lost money, lost time, and lost market share.

    Can someone please read my passage and give me your opinions.
    So i work as an accounting clerk, age 22, work in a team of 10. Basically i know the only reason i am at this job is to make money in order to gain capital to start my own business. So this where my mindset is at everyday. Iv been working there for only 6 months, my first ever proper job.
    So the problem is my colleagues. They all act so childish and keep joking around thus why i rarely talk to anyone. I dont want to become childish again. This is my grind season.
    Am i wrong for only saying the bare minimum?
    Please help

      I would put my blinders on and stay focused on my goals, yet do my best not to judge them. Imagine, 1 year from now you will be running your business and won't have to deal with them anymore because you're long gone. I'd still be friendly, yet focused.

      The way to raise capital is to start your own business, not wait around for the money to pile up. As long as you work for someone else, you will NEVER have the capital to start your own business...UNLESS you hustle and grind in your time off to start creating and selling products. Your own business is the path to freedom, so start today. Become so in love with serving your market that you don't even have time to think about your mediocre coworkers.

      MrOptimisticc I believe you are on the right track. Talking to them or not will not change the fact that you are ultimately responsible for your own fate. People in it for the long haul tend to take a more relaxed approach to the job because it is a marathon rather than a sprint, but by doing so, they have, in a sense, accepted their fate in not being able to evolve from a worker into a leader. If I were you... I would have rather have tried and have failed than laying in my death bed, cursing that I did not struggle when I should have had.

    There is no such thing as a "self made millionaire"..no-one has made a million dollars all by themselves..it just doesn't happen like that..! They have to either sell or collaborate with some one else to sell and find some one to buy. It's not "rocket science"...becoming a millionaire involves selling summat and getting people to buy it...millions of people to buy it... it's quite simple really...just get a million people to buy your idea and you become a millionaire..! How difficult can it be!
