I was out in CA on vacation, and I was pulled over on the 405 for speeding. The officer started laughing when he heard what I was playing on my phone when he asked me for my license. I told him I was responding to a 1183 on the 405. The officer still laughing says, " 10-4 and have a great day and drive careful" no ticket. But, we were both laughing..... He love the show too.
I’m 14 years old. I know most of us my age don’t even have the slightest clue what this is. But I am a weird child, I have a vintage Kawasaki Enduro. I love old shoes, and musicals. This show is the greatest.
@@LegatusMortis Cable is a waste of money these days to be honest, 1000 channels and most the the programming on 990 of those channels is junk, all for the "low" cost of $100+ per month
As a kid I would always hear this tune in my head whem me and my friend would ride our BMX bikes side by side. Great days long lost, Kids today will never understand.
I'm a child but I remember at a farm with our grandma we would ride our bikes next to each other and actually ESCORT our grandma when she was driving. All you did is ride your BMX bikes side by side.

In the 80's, there was only one village tv, only one black and white one using a battery. I like flm chips sitting at the front on TV R I. ok really greetings from a chip fan at the same time really really awesome thank you jakarta Indonesia 👍😁😁 i love you ❤️ chips
I wish I could find out what section of freeway they were on at the very beginning of the theme music where they merged onto the freeway from somewhere in Downtown Los. Angeles
The key to figuring it out is the building that looks like it has a moat around it. Its the Bunker Hill Department of Water and Power Building at 111 N. Hope St. Los Angeles, CA 90012. They took N. Hope street and merged onto the 101 freeway, south bound.
Visited LA back in '80 from a country far, far away and got to see the CHiP's flying down the freeway on the way out to Disneyland. Probably chasing Charles Manson.

You have a '70s heart, kid. That's what matters. ✌

@@tallguygarage3627 Awesome. Wholesome show, very little violence but it is lighthearted

It's so funky fresh! Both versions are good but this one is my favorite! It brings back a lot of childhood memories.
Es verdad. Acá en México era a las 8 :00 PM los domingos.....en aquel 1979.

This is my most favorite version!!!!

Back in my day, it was my grandma’s house ‘cuz grandpa died and therefore it became grandma’s house.
I just love this show!! I wish I had the DVDs!!
David Moore eBay will help you
So do I
This is my favorite TV show right here i grew up watching all the time.
2018!!! Brings back happy childhood memories.👍👍❤
I agree
Me three
I miss watching chips on tv❤
Another TV show that came out when I was turning seven. Man this journey has flown by and I still missed the 70s for the most part.
Best show of the 70s man
Always preferred this version of the theme over the disco version.
Same here, @chakur25.
@chakur25 Agreed! This one sounds too much like the Odd Couple or something....the 'disco' theme just rocks more!
I luv this season1's opening and closing song!
thank you for posting!
Hey, if I buy "CHiPs" on DVD, it would definitely be Season 1 because of the theme
I have season 1 dvd. I’m watching it right now.
Classic song and classic show
I used to watch this on the reruns when I was like 5 or 6 years old in the nineties.
This theme is better than the later one by far
Bring back so many good memories.
I’ve been looking for this version forever! By the way, all of versions were great!
THIS HERE is the BEST version of CHiPs!!
懐かしい~ 毎週見ていました!サントラ版のレコードも
持っていました! パンチが好きでした( *´艸`)
It’s 2020 but still amazing !
love the bassline..
That's the version I remember
Quantas sddes 😢 minha série favorita não perdia um episódio 😘😘😘 27/05/1979 o primeiro episódio foi ao ar rsrs inesquecível
I love this favourite theme song ❤️😍
At its debut in the Fall of 1977,CHiPs would change & rotate time slots during the Show's entirety.
So classic, I love that tuba at the end.
I still watch it in 2021!!
I used to love chips My childhood
This theme song was the best in Season 1 and they should have kept it at least another season and then they can change the other in Season 3 or 4

Best theme song ever
Es un gran programa que para la generación en qué se transmitió hacia que se animará y se siguieran valores que se fueron olvidando, lastima!!

"CHiPs" from Rick Rosner Creator of 240-Robert, Just Men! w/Betty White, Lottery and Caesars Challenge w/Ahmad Rashad
Props to Robert Pine, who played their boss, father of Chris Pine!

We need Ponch and Jon now more than ever...
@Fils de Jean Noir They boldly ride where no Chippie has gone before lol
Yeah I remember this show loved it! Those two on California's freeways ridin them Kawasaki's motorcycles.
@@daniellaubach7544 Loved the show too as a kid back in the day!
First in 1977 intro 😂..
Fantastic.
This is actually making want to move to the states just to do this as a job, only time will tell if I'll wear the uniform of a highway patrol officer
Kawasaki provided motorcycles to Jon and Ponch; Ford provided automobiles to the CHP!
Russ Martin Show brought me here
The "Adam 12" of the freeways of LA.
the extended version that was one used for the 1st episode
"CHiPs" is the ancronym for California Highway Patrol.
Hated this theme of CHiPs. By season 5, that theme was perfect
Was wondering in the outcome, why they didn't go for a 3 pointer but forgot it wasn't implemented until early 80s 😂
Look at "Sarge".... Robert Pine, his son looks just like him .....Chris Pine aka " Captain James T Kirk of The Starship Enterprise" Movies.
Chips!!!!!!!👍😄💣
Chips Larry wilcox meu ator preferido que eu amo muito vc e muito lindo
Doodley doo
what if the series was called m&m's with starring contessa brewer
comparing with chips with starring erik estrada
Are you this stupid or do you do this to annoy people?
When California was a great. O how has it fallen...
Frank Poncherello rules.
I’ll never acknowledge the reboot they made.
5 lanes of wide open roads. 😂
Spoiler alert. Ponch gets the winning shot.

I love the disco version better.
I wonder if this is the Mike Post Pete Carpenter version? Don't think so
