Once you are in Mapusa, you are on your own. Nobody seems to know what is happening, the municipality is MIA. It's a mess. It is a shame there is a hole by the road next to their building, and they don't know what to do with it 🙁
It's hightime that public spirited citizens like Shekhar are elected as ward councillor and only they can make a difference. Mapusa is a small town of 53000 people and any ward councillor can walk and inspect such issues in his or her ward at least once a week. The voluntary spirit of citizens is also not seen like removing the fallen cable. The area around MMC building needs lot of tidiness. There is no scope here for pedestrian footpaths so some other arrangements need to be made as pedestrians are not supposed to walk on roads. It's duty of chief officer to tour the town at least once in a week and take action.Huge towns like Indore and Nagpur and Surat have raced ahead of us but Mapusa is now epicentre of chaos and everyone has to work and make elected representatives work to solve such micro level issues. I suggest that Shekhar Naik could request the Chairman to visit spots shown here and find a solution like improving drainage, prevent waterlogging, filling up the dangerous ditch, putting up signboards, clearing up wild vegetation , tying up the loose cables and serving notices to those who don't maintain them, arrange general cleaning of area around MMC building and all this needs to be done with care, concern and application of mind with efficient supervision.
Who is ward member in Mapusa council. If he or she can't see this water logged hole, then he is kudo. Mapusa people elected all kudeos in their Lady controlled Muncipality. Mapusa citizen like this very much.
Mapusa is a city wetting for a big disaster road lights fitting are not working manholes are open gutters are missing cement slabs roads are missing speed breakers hot mixing and maintenance of major roads are not done many many more works are not done yet were Mapusa Kars we keep quiet and go on for howlong we are going to keep quiet place request to all let's meet and start doing works together for the safety of our family members...
