We work extremely hard to serve you guys the highest quality story reading content. Each video takes a lot of effort when it comes to thinking of topics, ideation, editing, voice-acting, recording, etc. All the content in these videos are owned by us!
Our Work Process:
1. Come up with questions, research, script, come up with opinions/commentary, polish until ready for recording.
2. Record voice acting the stories/questions, sharing thoughts and opinions and performing it in a creative and transformative fashion for viewers to enjoy.
3. Record gameplay until there is enough interesting footage to use for the background
4. Throw the gameplay in the editing software and then begin typing up the captions, cutting/trimming the voice acting, adding SFX, color correction, removing/adding clips, etc.
5. Final review of the video, if video is not up to the quality desired for this channel. Either go back into the editing software, re-record some lines, change opinions/commentaries.
My local library sent the 4$ late fee to collections and dinged my credit score. The loan officer at the bank thought it was very funny when they ran my credit history. I was not amused to learn this.
A private company started taking over public libraries a couple decades back. They are still tax payer funded and still largely volunteer staffed, just they keep some of your tax dollars instead of spending it all on services, and the city/county no longer has to be bothered with directly employing the workers or anything else. I was working at one of the first library systems they took over during college and they were just at the beginning of sending everyone to collections. Before that, the only person I’d ever heard of getting sent to collections by a library was a drug addict who had somehow racked up close to 50 items never returned, including videos and audio books.
My mother had an unpaid bill of like 30¢ sent to collections. The postage on the envelope was more than that.
And this is why somthings should never be handle by corporate.

Could be, but not necessarily. The buyer saying they need to buy from them to keep the warranty explains the cost. The cost of losing that equipment warranty and paying for repairs could be far worse than the thousands for 4 bolts. The company knows this so they gouge the price on small parts. Quite disgusting behavior.

Yeah and it's total bogus, because it's only temporary, so you'll have to keep using it. Better use a toothpaste with nano-hydroxyapatite to get those pores permanently plugged.
I was a janitor at a well known gym and i was cleaning out the locker rooms one night when i realized the mirrors in the womens room are magnified to make you look fater and the mens mirrors were the complete opposite to make them look less muscular

I think the big issue with business people is that for the most part they are judged on short-term results. Like annual financial statements, so it's difficult for them to prioritise long-term initiatives that don't have a benefit visible during their review period, which is when the costs incurred is realised. If expenses are high during my management year because I invested in accessibility, I'll lose my job and you'll get the bonus next year when my efforts pay off. It's a bad situation if you aren't the owner and you report to a bottom line. I think this reflects in the high turnover rates of CEOs in some industries.
Here in Australia one of the pain medication companies got fined for selling the exact same tablets as multiple different medications which they claimed where targeted at different sets of symptoms. Turns out that they where all just Ibuprofen tablets with no other active ingredients.

Indeed, it was Reckitt Benckiser, the company that make Nurofen branded ibuprofen. They made all these Nurofen Period, Nurofen Migraine, etc. products, which all just contained…ibuprofen.
They’re all a rip off anyway, store brand ibuprofen is all you need, other than Nurofen Plus, which also contains codeine too (but even then, there’s generics, and we need a script for that now, since 2018).

If you ever go to an auto parts store and need a part, always shop around because every part on those shelves are probably the exact same part labeled with the store brand. Always search for the best warranty and try to price match the cheaper price. Also don’t buy the bulbs from auto part stores, ask for the commercial bulb packs cause it’s usually 10 dollars for 10 bulbs instead of 7 dollars for 2 bulbs
I found out the total cost to produce a unit was $31,812.59 including my labor. Each unit was sold at $120,000+. We had a backlog of over 400 units. I had to stuggle to pay rent because they wanted to keep profit margins insanely high.

For college, I suggest you do your gen-eds first. Even if you switch majors, those credits will not be worthless.
My father in law is a family doctor in a small village of France. A couple years ago he had to pay thousands of euros to build a small lift (for 3-4 steps to access the front door of his house) for people with disabilities because of accessibility laws. It has literally never been used because he sees most of his disabled patients at their home. Sometimes it's just a scam.

People have lives and bills. You can't expect everyone with grandparents and parents to just drop their whole lives and financial health to become caretakers. It happens occassionally, but it doesn't end well for them.
The whole point about saying that “but I got it last time!” being a narc-move is absolutely spot on. All you are achieving is broadcasting to the people that can put measures to stop hook-ups from happening that there are hook-ups happening that they need to put a stop to.
Asking an employee or management if you got the correct amount is fine. You can say that you would have liked more, or whatever. But don’t tell them that you got more last time. Identify who is hooking you up and go when they are there. Otherwise you may get it once or maybe a few more times, but it is definitely going to stop eventually.
Story 2 claims that all toothpastes are the same due to "active ingredients." But they are very different because of the abrasives. Whitening ones often use more or harsher abrasives and can wear down your enamel faster than others. Some toothpastes even have sodium hydroxide (listed as an ingredient, not active).
Also, only use fluoride-free toothpaste. Fluoride is a by-product of aluminum manufacturing and has no cheap way of disposal, so in the 40s and 50s, they put it in the water and various products, falsely claiming it had health benefits. In reality, it severely damages your brain, memory and other critical functions.

Toothpaste with stannous fluoride will protect your teeth better than toothpaste without it, but Aim is $1.50 while something with stannous fluoride is $4+.
Being someone who is allergic to propylene glycol, I can attest, it’s only found in half of toothpastes.

US veteran here. Addressing #7, this is how so many contractors bill the government. Not normally as extreme but things that cost several dollars on the private side will cost the government hundreds of dollars. It's a contract issue. They bid on a price for an item and as long as their contract is the lowest, they will win it and they know the government will pay. It's the biggest waste issue I can think of
15.41 As a personal trainer of 25 yrs, I would dispute this. The muscle that is tight or hurting, is the one to stretch. Yes, the body has opposite muscles but stretching the opposite rather than the hurting one will do nothing for the hurting one. It depends on the damage done to the muscle as to when you should stretch. If you are sore from weight training, stretch all the time. You should feel the stretch but it shouldn't hurt. If from an accident or other physical damage, you should wait until the damage is healed properly before you stretch.

Story 6, but someone opposite. I recall having multiple meetings to discuss a problem of why something failed, and it turned out the reason was that someone thought that the subscription price for the infrastructure that would be able to handle the problem was a little high. In reality, it was only judged as a bit much based on what you would want to pay for something yourself, but as a buisness expense it was truely tiny. To put it in perspective just the cost of having one of the participants sitting in on that meeting could have payed the subscription for years, heck even just taking the time to test whether the fixes works fine every 6 months cost way more in pay to the employee doing it than the subscription. That is peny wise pound foolish for you.
I’m not going to be switching majors, but I also waited to start University until I actually knew what I wanted to do. I took an extra year in high school to take some classes I hadn’t been able to fit into my schedule before, and then a gap year program after that. I’m also taking longer than the four years my program is supposed to take, but that means that I’ll be able to do better in each class. I’m not afraid of taking the time required to do something well before I graduate.
Story five 2:14 that is why I only read the bad reviews. Companies are not going to give them self's a one star review to try to trick you. Always read the review If the reviews sound like they are true then look elsewhere. If they sound like someone is just being a Karen then just ignore them. I have only given one good review and the reason was an employee searched the dumpster for something that I had lost. If an employee is willing to look in the dumpster for a lost item that deserves a five star review.
If you just give a one star review and don't explain why you are giving a one star review people will just ignore it. When I give a bad review I make sure its something that I keep to the point and I keep emotions out of it as just ranting wont get someone to go somewhere else. If you say to go to another company the review will just be deleted as it will be assumed its just that other company trying to sabotage the competition, now if you say to go to another location of that same company because the other location has far better service the review will stay up.

Yeah I always read the criticisms bc they’re usually what you can expect in a bad scenario. I read the reviews for my local animal shelter and it was litterally a bunch of Karen’s that were mad they weren’t allowed to adopt some pets (bc the shelter didn’t think they could take care of them) one also complained that even tho they had applied several times to get a dog they still hadn’t gotten one bc they had young kids (the dogs this shelter has have usually been through some rough shit and therefore isn’t suitable for young and unpredictable kids) so I just had a laugh reading them and how dumb some people can be :)

Many years ago I used to work for a bank whose sole client was the tax bureau. We processed checks. One out of four checks spelt "United States Treasury", without the 's' behind 'State'. It was so alarming, I started counting. It didn't matter if they were native born or not.
I worked in collision repair and right out of school I got put on auction cars. The cars were "repaired" as quickly and cheaply as possible. Some times people would out scuff pads and paper behind the bondo to bridge the gap especially with rust. I went to a new shop as soon as I could and eventually got out of the business (for different reasons) but yeah you buy a used car off the auction block there's no telling what you'll get.
Eye glasses. It should not cost you more than $40 for a pair of eyeglasses including the lenses if you already have your prescription and are not into name brands. The industry is basically a monopoly. One really cheap one is something 'like' eye buy direct.
Stretching is generally frowned upon for hypermobile people. The physio is not correct for everyone.

Story 13, I went to college, picked a path, and stuck with it due to perceived pressure of needing to know what I was doing with my life. However, luckily for me, the path I took was a “pre” program wherein I took classes but it wasn’t actually a degree because it was a setup for a master’s program, so I had to pick an actual major, and I picked something that would give me more flexibility should I change my mind. Then I took a gap year before my master’s, took a job I’d never even heard of before, and boom, completely changed my future education and job plans and I am much happier.
Now I am also a major advocate of gap years and literally just…not starting college until you’re ready. Like, sure, knock out your gen eds at a cheap community college, but don’t go throwing your money down at a major you’re not even sure you like. If that happens, that’s okay, but don’t feel like you’re stuck and can’t change to something you know you’ll like more/is a better fit for you in the longrun.
I ended up taking a full bachelor, finding out that that was what I liked in that area, then went back and took a bachelor and master in another field I found that I liked even more. Now I can make use of the combination to really get ahead on the job market.Note: This is from a place where university education is free, if you are in the US and need to shell out a ton of money, then you might be better off with a more lean path that still gets you where you want to go.

For the bolt cost question. Is it a custom order? Does the company have to shut down a line and retool it to make the 4 bolts? If so that is some very expensive down time. Then the time it takes to have the 4 bolts made, then shut down and retool for whatever they were making previously. If it’s a common bolt however definitely blame sales and get a manager.

Accessible buildings also help people who aren't disabled. The elementary school I went to had a handicap ramp and level access on all three floors (sloped lot). Nobody ever used the stairs. And of course, ramps and level access are great for moving things between levels.
The music industry one is interesting. I've started recording recently, and my local guitar teacher/luthier/composer/producer has been recording me at $50/hr. Dude has $100,000 of dollars of gear, and a good ear, and I feel like I'm stealing at $50/hr. What do you think?

For story 7: Eventually employees give up. Company policy is to tack on a bunch of overhead to small orders, with no additional guidelines for very small orders? And if they don't follow company policy they get written up? Guess those bolts cost $10k!
Like, look at it from the employee's perspective. Chances are, they're not working in a place that actually cares. So if they report the problem to management, there's a 1% chance it will actually solve the problem (but not result in any recognition or other gain for the employee), an 89% chance the manager will tell them to shut up and follow policy (so nothing changes), and a 10% chance they get told to follow policy AND get flagged as a troublemaker who questions company policy. All risk no reward. So... why would the employee ever question anything? They know the policy is stupid, but they aren't paid to think they're paid to do what they're told. So that's what they do.
Heck even in the story the person who eventually sold the bolts for a reasonable price STILL had to justify it to their boss. How well do you think that would have gone if the low-level employee had been the one to do it? I bet they'd be instantly fired and replaced with someone who didn't ask questions. It's not that people are stupid (though in some cases they really are stupid) it's just that keeping their job depends on doing EXACTLY what they are told, even if they know it's stupid.

As far as KNO3 goes .. yes .. its the Potassium salt of Nitric Acid HNO3 (pretty strong acid) My guess is that the slight cooling effect (KNO3 is also used as chemical coolant) helps.

The in home care section of the video is pretty disrespectful to people who live with these situations. Some people just don't have any other options and judging those people who need help the most or the families of those people is pretty heartless. Not many people can afford nursing homes, private in home care is expensive by itself, and government programs are even worse then the situations mentioned.
Not me but my friend in mechanical engineer college. She got a temporary job to designh bathrooms on naval ships... Wen she discovered that the fabricator has valves that allow to dump more that they should of impurities petrol stuff and that that was a well know fact and everyone was ok with it. It was in Brasil also so year she is kinda of an environmentalist so she couldn't keep working there

I can see how a business owner could make the point of “why pay thousands of dollars to TRY to bring in a new customer base made up of people on fixed incomes?” I’m not saying that’s a smart or correct way to look at it but just as a rebuttal to the “aren’t you supposed to know how to make money?” point.
