Another sub born 2020.

The white lions are getting so big. I remember when the white female disappeared for a few days I think it was last year. She showed back up with the YBM ( young Birmingham male who was injured)
She disappeared in 2020. She was 14 months old! White lioness completes 3 years old at the end of March.
YBM is already a very good lion and has even mated with the Avoca Pride lionesses

Fantastic to see an update on these youngsters. They were hanging out with the oldest female Birmingham lioness. She was teaching the 5-6 subadults hunting skills.

I do look forward to seeing more videos of the Birmingham Pride. I truly believe the Ross males to be some of the more succesful pride males in quite some time.

It is so fascinating. Somewhere along the line I got this book "White Lions of the Timbavati" by Chris McBride from 1977(!) which means this white color mutation has been in the area for decades, and like you implied probably only successful because of the pride structure of lions. Solitary white leopards or cheetah would not survive long.

I went from watching a father with a five son coalition, to seeing these white lions again. Tends to give us hope that maybe we are catching the bad guys and our lions are holding strong. They are the most magnificent animals on this earth. Love love love. 😍🦁

Last I heard he found a coalition partner in a young torchwood male and they were still nomadic. Oh and they call him Osindile now from what I've been able to find.
@@KBLIZZ333 they are at Shindzela Camp for many months now, even see mating with few Avoca females, they are prob starting to claim that area as their territory.
I've been following Johan Smalman, Brett Marneweck, and Shindzela Tented Camp on Instagram to get updates on him. They have some great videos of him bonding with the Torchwood young male.

Casper is from Shishangaan pride from far east of this area, currently at Satara with his brothers, he is not related to this white lions (atleast not from recent generations).

Wow haven’t seen these young lions in a while. Were there 4 of 5 lions in this clip? In the past there were 3 males and 2 females making up this group. I could only see for sure 2 males since the focus was on the white lions. I hope nothing has happened to the 3rd subadult male. Having a third member would increase the chances of success for this coalition.
I always hopes these three boys would eventually group up with the young Birmingham male, but last I heard the YBM had partnered with the torchwood young male, who attacked these 3 subadult males when they approached. Now I hope they settle in a place where we would be able to view them regularly.
All 3 males are ok.
All the male subs are fine! Pride was not complete in this sighting ...
I don't even know what day it was recorded , but I think it was last week when pride was in Orpen .

FYI: Roan said in a new video(Feb 23rd) on the Wildearth channel that it seems like the Birmingham pride has split into 3 groups. 1) Ross males, sister of YBM and her 2 youngsters. 2) Two mothers with 3 youngsters(used to be 6). 3) White dot female, her 2 sub adults, 2 white lions and their siblings(2?). If my math is right 17+ YBM + 3 (missing/dead cubs/youngsters) = 21.
(Is White dot female the old lioness that was usually with the group of subadults?)
I haven't been watching Wildearth and they stopped featuring Ngala for awhile so I don't know if that adds up.
@@bigtvjunky9119 YBM shouldn't be counted in that group anymore I don't think. He's been off looking for territory with torchwood YM. I imagine that means, like they mentioned in other replies, that the 21st lion is the 3rd subadult male. Hopefully. So the siblings on the white lions would be 3.

These Lions spend most of their time in Kruger (Orpen Area ) with the rest of the time on Ngala and like here Sometimes go slightly South
Eventually the Adult male will push him away! A big hope for him to survive in nomadic stage of his Life.. keep us updated thank you!

Fascinating to see these white lions, are they the same pride you see at Orpen and Tambotie in the Kruger National Park?
This pride is a native of Ngala in Timbavati.
In the past Birmingham Pride had its territory in Orpen.
But they have been in Ngala for more than 10 years.They are always in Orpen now in January they stayed more than 13 days ... They went to Ngala. This recording is when they were in orpen and passed manyeleti.
But they are in Ngala

they do not have a name, he is three years old she is almost three.
They need to go to Djuma when Ross Male's kick them out of the pride. Should be about 5 of them . Incredible how much Birmingham Blood is throughout Sabi Sands .
Being white lion is actually is a dis advantage because the pray animal can seen them more easily
Let's hope some arsehole doesn't hunt them.
This guy keep saying "they're pure white they're pure white". They are more Scandinavian blond than pure white. I think if they were really pure white, then they may not have survived.
