      I bought one used in 1996 from a Dealer in Oshawa Ontario Canada. The exact replica of this one only in a light green color (GM Called it Light Sage) It had 96,000 original KM (just under 60,00 miles) and drove like a dream...the 307 V8 was not the fastest on the block but with the OD Transmission it was a perfect highway cruiser. Beautiful velour interior and quiet smooth ride...one of the best cars I ever owned. Last year of the full size RWD Delta 88.

    Man I miss my delta 88.. had a maroon colored one back in 98. Thing was one of the most comfortable carving driven till this day. The odometer only said 85 but I was still off on cars going 100.. remember driving around with 3 up front. Car was a flying sofa. Smooth as can be.

    85 I believe was the Last year of the full-size Oldsmobile Delta 88. I had one of these. Road like a Cadillac too.

    You sure it's 29,000 miles. The odometer only went up to 99,999 and then rolled to 00000. Oh question. I used to own an '85 delta 88. What type of foam did they use for the seats. This was the most. Comfortable seats in a car I have ever driven.

    My parents had one of these back in the mid 1980's. I think an 84 or 85 model. I remember how it used to glide over bumps in the road. Beautiful car. The AC had the R-12 refrigerant in it that would about freeze you out of the car even on a hot 90 degree day in August. R-134A and whatever the new refrigerant is does not cool as good as the old R-12 did.

    I have a well preserved 1987 chrysler fifth avenue under wraps. Both cars are pretty much the same engine size and same body. I would love to get this as a memory. My father had this car. Not THIS car, but same car, same color.

      The Royale Brougham LS was intended to fill the gap during the transition to the smaller FWD Ninety-Eight. Many Ninety-Eight buyers still wanted body-on-frame, RWD, and V8 power. The Eighty-Eight Brougham LSes were optioned out pretty well, including the old Ninety-Eight's full chrome grille.

    Whaoo! The same rewind taillights comprised on the Regengy 98. Something never done by any carmaker of the time.
    Not the only one I saw with such detail protrayed on video

      @elmowilson298 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AlexanderCrump Believe it or not, those rewind tailights are present on Regency 98. Normally, the Delta 88 has them smaller surrounding the license plate.Just check it in a shot and you will see trhat detail.

      They were trying to mimic the Ninety-Eight for two years, during the transition to FWD.

    • @AlexanderCrump

      Chevy co-opted the Buick Estate Wagon's taillights around '85 or so. The chrome surround is fancier and the lenses are slightly different.

    That's a 98 grille on this 88. Looks great, but it's not the 88 grille. Unless it was used on the 88 in 1985 because of 98 downsized?

      @@mikestory5883 The Olds B-bodies only got the Olds 307, never the Chevy 305. BUT I believe 1985 and later B-body wagons all got the Olds 307 - including Chevy, Buick, and Pontiac.

      I have one myself... you have two options. Have the wood grain around the radio cut to a rectangle to fit a modern style radio. Or have a console installed below if you want a full size touch screen style radio

    The 98 was way better value for the money. 2 barrel carb no posi traction
    Olds 98 'had 4 barrel carb positive traction, better interior, more room inside, and was longer.
