Thank you so much Larry! I have worn the Origin everyday since I got it back. I was actually wearing it while watching the video. Its running great! You did a great video explaining the process. Again, such a great member of the watch community. Eric
With the same problem in a Seiko 5 I changed que balance bridge a couple of weeks about, I never knew why the balance wheel stopped when I turn out the watch.
I had a Turtle build I did with an NH36. After a hard bump it did the same thing. I swapped the balance assembly and that didn't solve it. Had to do a full movement swap as well.
Yes, and Erebus would have honored the warranty. However, it was actually cheaper to have the watch serviced here in the US. Shipping to Australia is expensive.
As Larry said, Erebus warranty is return to them paying shipping, which I knew going in. The cheapest shipping was over 70 dollars. Also the time involved. I had contacted them and they were very responsive. I have nothing negative to say about Erebus! A movement can fail from anyone. I was glad this one is inexpensive, easy to obtain and Larry was nice enough to do it for me!
It is still under warranty, however You still need to pay to ship it to Erebus for service. Shipping to Australia is around 70$. In this case, it was actually just cheaper to service it here in the US.
I wasn't able to find the issue yet. My first priority was to get the watch back to the owner as fast as possible. However, I still have the original movement, and I am going to disassemble it to figure out what was causing the issue. I will post an update in the future.

@ericsherer3505 Thanks, bro!
Love the format of your content Larry! Enjoyed the thought process to everything you were doing. Great job on this one!
Thanks, bro! You should start a channel. I would love to see some of your watch builds.
@@larryc Maybe I will! Been thinking about it for quite some time now and seeing yours motivated me. I guess you'll have to wait and see :)
I’m surprised Jody doesn’t have a US repair company, maybe Larry should be their US representative.
I am surprised they don't have one in the US as well. Maybe they will get one in the future.
Love this! you have such patience and finesse while working on watches, Thank you for showing us these projects, Cant wait for future projects
I've had a few faulty NH movements in the last year. I hope quality control isn't slipping. Great video man!

Well done Larry!

Mine was rough and never run well. Paperweight!
Did the owner notify Erebus? Seems that they would respond and correct.

This is in warranty, shouldnt it just go back?
Sorry if you addressed that, i was kind of clicking through a bit.

@@larryc ah that's a bummer. Yeh I've had to pay it going the other way, perks of being a big remote island unfortunately.
Since Jody doesn’t have a US service facility, maybe Larry should be their agent.
@@chriswalls6667 maybe they'll setup US and European outposts in time. The brand is still very young.
Could you figure out what caused the issue? I am very curious how it failed!
