      It's probably a bit too small, like you can do it if it's a small room but there are better tools for that. I am reviewing another small smoke machine that is better choice for this kind of shots. If your are interested come back in 2-3 weeks time for the review

    I own the MicroFogger 4 Pro. However, during transportation, if it is not kept upright, it tends to leak, leading to fluid seeping into the buttons and causing them to malfunction. This makes it challenging to use during on-the-go photoshoots, as constant vigilance is required to ensure it remains perfectly upright. The device demands frequent maintenance, cleaning, and careful handling to prevent such issues. In contrast, using it in a studio setting is notably more convenient.

      I haven't use the 4 Pro myself, but I would imagine it is best to remove the fluid tank during transportation as the fluid could easily leak from the top. I would do the same for all my smoke machines. My problem with the Microfogger is, it doesn't come with any capsule/container for you to place the fluid tank once you removed it which makes it hard to transport the fluid tank

      @@TheRealRichardWong yes. manual written you need to take out fluid, but it is not so easy to remove it all. they don't include even rubber caps to seal container :( as SmokeNinja did.

    I think it’s so cool the effect you get from this and the pictures you’ve taken with it. I don’t know how I would incorporate it into my own photography/videography but it’s definitely given me something to think about. Thanks for the video!

    This looks pretty much like a customized e-cigarette with a remote control and a fan. Even the heating coil looks familiar. If you feel like potentially wasting a heating coil, try using pure glycerol/glycerine instead of their (highly overpriced) special fog fluid. Worst case you'll need a new heating coil, best case you can get 1 liter of fog fluid for

      I was just thinking the same thing. They have a CRAZY lead time. I am wanting to pickup 4 or 5 of these and am considering just trying to make it myself. It really looks like it's just off the shelf stuff. Get a vape, add a fan, and wire a remote RF trigger to it. Thanks for the tip on the Glycerol, I will have to try it. Honestly if these were readily available I would just buy them but to spend the money AND have to wait months for it... Not worth it.

    So it’s only good for small shots like toys? Can you do a full body portrait in the room with this or is it too small?

      Toy, product photography and indoor portrait in small room ok. But not outdoor or big room

    Hi, I purchased my Microfogger 3 Pro a few months ago in the UK.
    I’ve been experimenting with the advanced settings and tried Continuous Loop, but now I can’t get out of it even if I turn it on and off again.
    Eventually, the screen displays ‘Time’ at the top and it stops emitting smoke. Turning it on/off again simply repeats this cycle.
    The Mode, Select and Trigger buttons don’t respond, except to alter the fan speed.
    Is there a way to reset the Microfogger back to factory settings?
    Thanks
    Lawrence

      @@TheRealRichardWong thanks Richard, for a quick reply. I think it may be a circuit board fault and I’ve emailed Vosentech. Hopefully it may be an easy fix. Thanks again.

    • @lawrence5311
      @lawrence5311 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi again. I sorted it on my own by rinsing the fog liquid off the circuit board as described by Vosentech in their support page. If you have odd screen button problems see th-cam.com/video/-pRGdjg6s2g/w-d-xo.html

    • @TheRealRichardWong
      @TheRealRichardWong  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh awesome. And do you remove the coil/tank from the unit after you finish everytime? I was advised we should remove it to prevent dog liquid leak into the unit

    • @lawrence5311
      @lawrence5311 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheRealRichardWong I do remove the fog liquid now, but accidentally left it half full overnight and thinking back, that’s when it happened. Removing the oil and coil, as you say, is very important after each session, otherwise the wick in the coil simply absorbs the liquid in the tank and as it’s not being burnt by the coil, it drips slowly into the middle of the coil and down the chimney to the insides of the Microfogger. Lesson learned.

    Hi I would like to buy one of the microfogger 3pro but where can I order & how much does it cost to ship to Hamilton

    • @TheRealRichardWong
      @TheRealRichardWong  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      hi there, I don't know if any shops in NZ stock it, so you'll probably have to order it directly from their website (link in description)

  • @Trevellian
    @Trevellian 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Have you tried it with generic fog juice? It could make operating this device much more cost effective.

    • @TheRealRichardWong
      @TheRealRichardWong  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      hey Michael, no i haven't not. I was told it wouldn't work and I don't have the generic fog juice at home to give it a try. But cost wise, it is actually not that bad. For me I've done dozens of toy/product photography shoot + all the testing for the review and I'm still on the first bottle (each bottle cost $10).

    • @Trevellian
      @Trevellian 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheRealRichardWong $10 isn't too bad, but a full liter of generic fog juice can be had for that.

    • @TheRealRichardWong
      @TheRealRichardWong  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes agree. I guess that's one of the price you pay for a super compact fog machine. To me I am pretty ok with the price of the special fog liquid as less than $10 a year is still very cheap. It's more I can only order from US and I have to pay a lot more than $10 for the shipping. That's why I recommend people buying some extra bottle and heating coil when ordering it

  • @DNS2911
    @DNS2911 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    How many times do you have to change to coil? And can you poor the leftover fog liquid back when your done and just wipe everything clean?

    • @TheRealRichardWong
      @TheRealRichardWong  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've replaced maybe a total of 3 coils so far after using the microfogger 2 and 3 pro for about 1.5 year.
      You could pour the unused fog liquid back in theory, but the bottle is quite hard to do..

    Do anyone know if can transport this as carry on for most flights? (Domestic or international etc. Just want to hear feedback or concerns 🙃. )
    I totally understand there are many layers of security from TSA to Airline to destinations etc that may sometimes conflict other similar devices. IMO I think the main concern for domestic flights over here would be the liquid. Because the device similar to vape mod and the batteries are within carry on regulations (Ex. Draining the battery to 10% before flights) so I would assume the liquid may be a potential flight risk.
    And reason why I’m asking about the flight is if you’re a destination shooter (Ex. Weddings, conventions, events etc. ) you can’t bring aerosol nor standard smoke machine or even smoke bombs for obvious reasons. So I been wondering for awhile if there was something small like this that could open door of new opportunities for destination shoots. Cheers.

      I don't know the answer sorry I think it maybe best to check with authority. But this device is best for indoor use so not really good for outdoor photoshoot/filmmaking

      It depends how often you use it. If you only use it occasionally, it's really not cheap. You might be better using something like atmosphere aerosol.
