Im also worried about the change of the “avatar’s master” being roku to kyoshi. From the scenes we got so far, it seems that she will replace the job that Roku did in the cartoon. That’s a huge red flag for me. It is crucial to story that the wiser avatar is from the fire nation because it shows to aang that not all fire benders are bad. Also, roku and sozin are the main plot of that episode on the third season about zuko and aang learning about the history of the war. I wonder how they will develop this conection between aang, zuko and the fire nation in general. Kyoshi is awesome, but the main avatar tutor being from the fire nation is just mandatory to me
Incorrect. Kyoshi, Roku, and Kuruk will equally play a role in help guiding Aang instead of it just being mostly Roku. All 3 were cast. It's odd for you to assume everything that you did.
@@dresdenwarlock7978 As I said, from the trailers we got so far, avatar kyoshi is much much more present than the other ones. I’m not assuming the others won’t appear, but it concerns me that avatar kyoshi is somehow being more present on the scenes and trailers than Roku. And that is a fact. My point is I really hope they maintain Roku as the main one because of the reasons I said on the original comment
It might be more promising than the first adaptation, however, like I was saying in the video, they are already changing the personalities of the characters in the show and there is evidence of that. That’s never a good sign when creating a live-action adaptation. Especially one as legendary as Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Do you really want a 1 to 1 adaptation? I don't think so. Fans are afraid of changes, but we should be looking forward to them instead. Seeing new aspects brought into the avatar universe should be an exciting prospect, but somehow people just think of the old movie that was made years ago by different people. Sokka's main character trait is NOT sexism. Did you even watch the show? He is insecure about his manlihood, leadership skill and role in the avatar team, because of the lack of a father, the lack of bending and the lack of a role model. He gets all of those things throughout the seasons. Sexism is a small part that was mentioned maybe 2 or 3 times in season 1 and having him be sexist in the first episode wouldn't help the series succeed@@Swappin.Thoughts
@@OK-ry6qp it actually plays a bigger role than you think. Even when his sexism was portrayed mainly in the first season, like I was saying in the video, that always him to realize his flaws and be humbled by them. Once he realizes that is when you start to see him doubting his abilities in the group. It’s a chain reaction that won’t go as well in the adaptation.
how dare you in the middle of a video show me the zuko iroh scene!!! i wasnt emotion prepared! i just started crying for no reason! god man! with great power comes great not showing of that emotional typhoon. Great video btw. this hole needs to be also for adults bullshit is just an excuse. they wanted to make their own show and got stcuk with making avatar. Its the witcher all over again.
Can we cancel this all live action shows that they make/made for cartoons😓. They can't never turn a cartoon into a movie💩. They can make the rest of the ATLA cartoon without making a movie from that budget. They hurt our feelings.🥺 If they are gonna make these films, I should not had watch the cartoon. Because you know... It was the best.💓 (if there are any grammer errors in my message , please ignore.😀)
The original creators have voiced their faith in the current showrunner, who they THEMSELVES hired to help make the show before they left and he took over. This bs about sokka not being sexist anymore has already been debunked, it just isn't going to be as overt and hamfisted like the cartoon did to drive the point home for children. They didnt say Katara wouldnt be motherly, there are other factors at play they didnt want to discuss. THEY DIDNT CHANGE AANG'S CORE PERSONALITY AT ALL. HIS CORE PERSONALITY IS BEING A GOOFBALL and if youd watched the behind the scenes or actually read the articles you'd know its a key factor. Most if the detour episodes were filler episodes anyway. He's still silly and playful. And lastly this GoT crap was poorly worded. It just meant that its an open fantasy world with crazy creatures and lasting damage from the violence and wars. It isnt that deep. You reactionary grifters are pathetic.
You should probably actually watch the trailers and behind the scenes stuff instead of listening to grifters that take things out of context for clicks.

i think its gonna suck hard, a cgi kids adventure running around beating the bad guys, no deeper substance.
Yeah, I’m just not thrilled about the changes they’re currently doing.
It's crazy how u guys are judging a show that isn't out yet. Wait, watch then judge it

Its crazy how I can tell you're gonna glaze yet another netflix failure. it Shows you have never seen ATLA a day in your life lmao
if it happens again, i'd rather there not be another live-action movie
True. 😆
Just watched it...and it's uh not that bad. The characters are seriously lacking personality in the netflix show though.
Dang… I haven’t started watching it yet but that’s just not good. 😩

Most of the time they don’t go that well because all directors wanna do is make it their own thing which makes it suck.

I bet you also thought Rings of Power and Wheel of Time were faithful adaptations.

Get ready to have Zuko x Azula on screen

Yep they ruined the characters... but the music was on point, and the effects were decent 🤷
Does that make up for the lack in character though?
