It's a bit of everything from the shoe gaze and the post punk to the baggy's the best way to be. This band have made me excited for British guitar music on their own as only we do this
This is addictive! Great sound, great bass, great groove, great words. Hope we get to hear more stuff of that calibre from you guys. I shall spread the word...

They're amazing live bud... I saw them last month Nottingham England.in a small club 350 people capacity..it was the best gig I've ever been too.

Totally committed to sounding as much like the fall as possible in every aspect of the song. Every tone, lyric and rhythm is The Fall.
I disagree, rhythm, tone of voice all very different and you can actually understand the words. Also remember nothing is new, everything's copied that's the world deal with it.
This is the issue with all these 6music post-punk-revival-revival bands; they mostly rip off The Fall, yet have people telling them they're amazing because 'they remind a 60 year old punk of the good old days'. Obviously, everyone has their influences, but this is just straight-up mimicry and it needs calling out for what it is: a pale imitation.
@@ndarcy92 MES's Fall were the original masters this is a ripoff pale imitation. BBC6 music reviled the true pioneers and put on substitute sounds
Mark E Smith has a very particular, weird and excellent vocal style. Nobody could imitate it and you'd be an idiot for trying (though talking through a cheap toy walkie-talkie radio with a stereotypical-a Italian-a inflection-a but minus the accent might serve you quite well). See, I don't think that's what this lot has done. I think you can hear a lot of the musical influence - the evolution of many years - in this that sets The Fall and this apart. They were clearly heavily influenced by The Fall, but that isn't the be all and end all. It's a totally shallow, gate-keep-y take to write them off as a pale imitation of the past. This is happening now.
You see, that's just it. I loved The Fall with a passion, still my favourite band if push comes to shove. Doesn't mean I can't love this too. Yes, it's heavily influenced by them but that's ok. It really is. And as MES is no longer around to give us any new music, this is great. And if we're honest, this is better than anything The Fall managed since Blindness really.
