I know it's a year later but... ... They wrote Wagon Wheel using a 30 second snippet of a Dylan recording. They later got co-writing credit and were able to record it. It was a big enough hit that Dylan later sent them another clip from the same session with his blessing to develop Sweet Amarillo.
