Is that basket made of welded wire? I was going to make one out of welded wire, but im always nervous about using galvanized metal. I never know if i burned it long enough.
I apologize for taking so long to respond, but just saw your comment. The basket is not welded and was part of a kit I bought from Big Poppa Smokers. I do believe they have an upgraded basket that you can purchase if you are interested.
The basket was part of the kit that I got from Big Poppa Smokers. It doesn’t seem like it would last too long if you use the drum a lot, but since I’m mostly a weekender when it comes to smoking I think it will do me fine.
