    *I had to set a goal amount, but I don't really have a specific goal, so I just put a generic number. My medical bills have totaled up to well over $10,000 and will continue to increase over time.
    Thank you for taking the time to watch and listen to this video.
    The procedure my doctor wants to do is called Radioembolization, or Y90

      My husband found some lumps in his testicle, there is a two week rule in the UK so my hubby got seen seven days after seeing our GP! Within five days his testicle was removed, and he had a large chemo session. This rule saves thousands of lives, I am so grateful for our NHS!

    Just as soon as you recently had some good news you then receive this extra heartache and worry. The world is a cruel place at times that's for sure.
    I've been watching you for what seems years on TH-cam through your haunt videos. You've given so many people so much joy through your videos, and undoubtedly helped so many people over the years. It's hopefully time for you to receive some help from others now.

    Thanks for letting us do something for you, even if it's only money. I can tell you're kind of hating this but do not feel bad. This is your life. When a person is sick they should have access to treatement and not worry about how to pay for that treatment. Being sick is hard enough. Socialized healthcare is like the devil in the US, hope it changes. So many other countries have it and have not collapsed. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is you shouldn't feel bad about this. If the system was working you wouldn't have to do this. But it's not so we can at least help each other. I do think it would be good if more people knew about your story. That would help so much. But I understand that you don't want to add the stress that comes with exposure and going to court. I wish I could do more.. We are here for you.

    Hope you make it thru this. So young to be dealing with such a brutal illness. Hopefully you can declare bankruptcy, get on full state aid and escape with most of what you worked for. Our system is filthy down and dirty. Health insurance, state unemployment benefits, and employers who pretend they want to be there for you. But when you at sick, terminally sick, you become a liability and they do all they can to cut you loose and not have to deal with you, because you are now a draining expemse. So they try to make you go away. Don't let this happen. Take advantage of what is there for you. Get on full state aid and Medicaid benefits immediately. I can't imagine you wouldn't qualify. You shouldn't think about going back to work when you have this challenge to your life and it has progressed so far. This is the rest of your life unless there is a miracle cure for your liver mets. You shouldn't be on unemployment. That is a temporary fix and your cancer has rendered you fully disabled. You need to forgo your pride and take advantage of what you paid for from your paycheck deductions for as long as you have worked and take those benefits in full and right now. Don't let the system beat you because you are a willing participant to be walked on, because they will. Fight them tooth and nail. This is your life. To the system you are a paycheck, a bigger bonus, an insignificant sick person who dares to.bother them when you complain about why you didn't get the treatment you deserved and paid for from your insurance deductions. Get angry and pissed. Realize, I can hear your controlled inner angst when you mentioned US Healthcare wouldn't pay for your last treatment .This is your life. So F@#K US Healthcare and their self benefiting decisions. Get a lawyer who will sue them in contingency.. But make them pay either way in the press or with some cash. Get your local news involved. People hate when terminally ill patients are abused by big health insurance corps. Everyone knows someone who is battling an insurance bill.and your case hits direct to the heart. . Don't control your anger, don't be nice about it. Allow your inner frustration with every inhumane business that says they care about sick people to be exposed for the money factory they really are. Let the world know how US Healthcare denied you an opportunity to fight this terminal illness..They don't have an interest in keeping you alive. They give bigger bonuses to those reps who can deny a request for treatment with no contest and make more money for their company to appease Wall Street investors. Everyone in that loop gets bigger homes, imported cars and nicer vacations. No one gets anywhere by allowing such corporations to declare victory over a terminal patient's desire to cheat the grave. You seem to not let your anger have its day by your controlled way of discussing your road blocks. What do you have to lose? Rather, what do you have to win? My heart goes out and I hope the best in your battle. Also find what studies you can get on. They may or may not work. But they offer some hope. I am surprised your doctor don't write off the last treatment which you were to have but your insurance wouldn't pay for..Is he also in it for the BMW or for your life? I'm not so sure I like him either. Wishing this all works out in your favor.

    • @DeadwoodManor
      @DeadwoodManor  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh, my issue is not with my employer at all. I work for a small mom & pop business, and they have been nothing but kind to me through my illness. They let me move to working from home and staying on my salary even before the pandemic. Unfortunately, the type of business I work for was not deemed essential, and they were forced to close, thus temporarily laying me off. I don’t blame them whatsoever for the situation I’m in.
      Fortunately, they were able to reopen recently, and I was able to begin working from home again. I’m passionate about and love my job and the people I work for, so I want to continue working for them to keep a sense of normalcy in my life. If I leave and rely on disability payments, not only would I feel like I’m partially succumbing to the illness, I think that would only lead to more problems. I also truly believe that once I’m gone, they will continue to help Emilee out as well, as we are more like a family than just Employer/Employee.
      My problem is 100% with my state’s unemployment office, as well as the health insurance. Unemployment denied me benefits because of my health problems, and my insurance refuses to pay for treatments regardless of the fact that I have never missed a single monthly premium.
      The systems in our country are extremely broken and need reform. If not for me, for those will will come after me.

    When you mentioned a few videos back that you couldnt choose a treatment because it was $20k a pop, I wanted to help then! Is Aetna your Insurance because it sounds it like it! Hahaha! This isnt money for unboxings and materialistic things, this is for your life and quality of care and I have been watching you for years to know you wouldnt be doing this if you didnt need help. Being a nurse, I know that palliative care is just as important as any other care. Have you thought about contacting your local news. This could be a good story. I was honestly thinking the same thing. Let the bills rack up, pay next to nothing on them each month and declare bankruptcy. Likewise set up a payment plan with the unemployment people and offer them next to nothing a month as well. If we have to suffer through a broken system, you might as well take advantage of it when you can.

      In the research I’ve done, I have read that in some cases, the Y90 treatment was able to shrink the tumors enough to be removed. I’m not sure if that would be the case with me however, because the cancer is still in several other areas.

      @@DeadwoodManor There is always the possibility of remission even if all it does is extend your life. The longer you live, the higher the probability of remission. Too cute for Cancer, a fellow TH-camr, battled stage 4 breast cancer for 7 years. Just a couple weeks back now, she made a video announcing she was in remission.
