    I believe that Ljubicic having actually faced Nadal, unlike Roche, Annacone, and Edberg, helped Federer immensely in the 2017 Australian Open Final.

      Yes, we can see how Fed's backhand became sharper than ever.

      Lz V edberg helped a lot remember the Net Game. Edberg got Federer to the net more to finish points quicker.

    I can suddenly see so many similarities between Ljubicic's power backhands and Federer's! Great call by Federer to get him on as coach!

    So this is where Federer got those blistering backhands last January...
    (I know it's more about Fed's skills rather than Ljubicic's coaching, but probably Ivan gave him some nice, useful tips)

    • @rjamesyork
      @rjamesyork 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This was a great result for Ljubicic but it’s not like he owned Nadal h2h. He beat Rafa 2 times in 9 tries - hardly think Federer saw that and thought “here’s how I beat Rafa!”

  • @schwozluv8364

    What was happening to nadal in the beginning of 2010 though, had he won this he for sure would have beaten roddick.

  • @xube100
    @xube100 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ljubicic should have won more in 2003-2007 because it's a weak era, but the funny thing is i checked his records for those years, he didnt even win a 1000 masters trophy, but in 2010 he could win and by beating Nadal in the semi and Roddick in the final. And Roddick who is supposed to be the weak era player? I wonder how.
