    News of the Times Episode 242 | 1450 - 1905
In 1905, the question is asked in the papers: Are Women more Bloodthirsty Than Men?
This news article looks at several ruthless female killers in history and thre crimes they committed including murderers:
    American Belle Gunness
    French Jeanne Weber
    American Jane Toppan
    French Madame de Brinvilliers
    Lucretia Borgia
    Catherine de Medici
    Kate Bender and more!
The question is an interesting one as we have heard from some of our subscribers their understanding that female serial killers were unusual. We have not found this ourselves.
A question that still resounds today: Are women more bloodthirsty than men? Is today’s episode of Wicked Wednesdays.
We hope you enjoy the show!
    Hosted by Robin Coles.

Some of your stories I've heard before, but I love the way you present them. And I really like the way you read the newspapers. Thank you from the USA!

Greetings American cousin! Thank you for your kind words!!
In general, we try to stick to about 75% smaller stories that we think most have not heard - but we need to do some of the bigger ones too that are more well known to try to grow our channel. We do try to mix it up a bit. On Sundays, we give a preview of the coming week (without giving too much away...) 😉 Thank you so very much for your positivity and support! 🙏We are a small channel - we greatly appreciate your kind words. - thank you!!🤗

My previous comment seems to have vanished into thin air!!
ANYONE is capable of murder, whatever their gender!! I think society is more horrified when women kill because we're supposedly the gentler, more nurturing sex!!
I NEVER knew Lucrezia Borgia was infamous for murdering people!! I knew her brother Cesare was a nasty piece of work, but not Lucrezia!!
Thanks for another EXCELLENT video!! 👍💞❤

There have been some weird comments issues this last week - we can only sincerely apologise and promise you that this is not happening from us! We have made a lot of backend changes to videos and it seems to have thrown things off with the comments section - our most sincerest apologies!
We have also commented, and found the comments we made did not "stick". We are very much hoping these tech issues will sort themselves out soon! ⚙️
Ah! Another for the gender neutral! Great to hear! It is interesting - the whole gender specific issue as to how each gender should behave and what qualities they should have was oh so very important in Regency, Victorian and Edwardian times! To us, it is a progreessive step in the right direction to see that those biases have beocme if not extinct, at least more fluid.
Thanks so much for your insights and kind comments - very much valued and apopreciated! Apologies agian for the comments issue. 🙏❤️

Humanities inhumane treatment towards other humans is infinite in its atrocities, there's no distinction concerning sex of such monsters!!!🙏✨👌🦉❣️

We've done that. Women are human. We are just as blood-thirsty as men but we seldom lead major military campaigns so don't engineer the destruction of large numbers of people all at once. Also women as a group are not as physically strong as men so we tend to use more subtle means like poison.
