Yeah it was not good timing on that at all! I did kind of talk him into it a bit though, I told him how I’ve only drawn lands this game and kept a 4 land hand which was true. Based on that I think he assumed I wasn’t a threat and the deluge would put Najeela behind a lot then he probably had his own tools to go off next turn if/when he got there.. I just didn’t mention the fact I had win in hand if Drannith was gone😂 that’s politics for ya
PRO TIP never select a green player with intuition… veil of summer will ruin your day. And cost you g1 of a tournament…. Sharing a story of a friend 😅….
Not 100% sure his reasoning for it but I think he was trying to set up for his own breach line if/when it got back to him and not leave the goblin hanging to be potentially cloned by someone else before then Thanks for watching :-)
look... I don't know you guys, but Shane. Shane, my man. what in the hell were you thinking? I don't even begrudge someone getting a Toxic there, but *why* are you casting it without any sort of follow up?? and why didn't you at least pay 4 life to kill the Spellskite??
In his defense I did politic him into it a bit and the other players could have done more to talk him out of it 😅 I’m pretty sure he did have follow up on his next turn to go off if/when he got there and wasn’t worried about me being a threat due to my lack of board state and knew Najeela wouldn’t be a problem without their board so he probably thought he was safe. Just goes to show a lot of times cards in hand are scarier than cards on board! For Spellskite i think that was just an unfortunate case of forgetting that Skite has such a big booty and by the time he realized it he’d already locked in his decision on life to pay and priority was going around Thanks for watching :-)

That was a clean win on the spot thanks to that very bad toxic deluge 😅 that’s why you learn to play against stax

Sickle carrot bunny OP
Shane with the assist!
you already had enough mana for that deluige, why waste the dockside?

@@FarNorthMtG Nobody was winning that turn with the dranith out, maybe he got a little trigger happy, but keeping 1 treasure off the dockside was wack
For sure, definitely wasn’t the call and I think he realized it pretty quickly 😂 misplays and mistakes happen this one just happened to be on camera
