Quick history lesson on the SMK: When the USSR was developing thier new heavy tank to replace the T-35, two competing designs were chosen for testing, these were the SMK and the T-100. Two SMKs and one T-100 were sent to the frontline against Finland in the Winter War. To cut a long story short, the SMK performed better. The Hull was redesigned, the front turret removed, and the KV-1 was born. The T-100 was sent to a warehouse were it sat for a few years. Until it was pulled out, had a 130mm naval gun mounted in a casemate, and renamed the SU-100Y for the defence of Moscow.
What I read is there were two KV-1 and a single SMK sent to the Finnish front. The SMK got bogged down, the crew escaped, and after two weeks of trying to recover it, they gave up. The SMK just wasn't effective for its weight and expense.
Another strangely good russian tank is the 2.0 t-70 and the 2.3 t-80 now yes it has a painful turret rotation but it has really good hull armour but the turret armour is slightly lacking but no one shoots there so you can survive a while
My issue with similar tanks is how the game prioritizes which crew member should be replaced with witch; like in the "M3 Lee" the loader of the 37mm gun has the priority over the the 75mm's (or at least it was; haven't played it for a while).
my favorite thing to do with the US and UK m3 lee and one other multi turret tank was to separate them in aiming, when i got into a good brawl spot, and leave one watching my 6 and the other front, such a fearsome beast when used like that, walts out into an alley looking left and right, or keep one front and the other sweeping the left as you move past somewhere.
lol i remember even getting the 50 involved with some shenanigans, started to learn that sometimes i can operate just the mg to hit some planes and leave my barrel on target, AND that the mg can see over cover and get a few crits sometimes
Considering that Gaijin is now only putting two vehicles into the battle pass now, I seriously doubt that we'll ever get the T-100 in the game via the battle pass.
I'm pretty sure that the "Dynamic LUT", found in Options -> Post FX on the right side of screen, is the reason why some map/weather combos look so dark with no shadows. I turned off and set tone mapping to Reinhard; which when turned down low helps make the ridges on snow maps more visible, instead of one great big patch of pure white until it hits the sky.

That meant that if it werent for the anti-tank mine finnish soldiers would have get very close to it to destroy it with molotov cocktails, anti-tank grenades or satchel charges. That or pray that a lucky artillery shell landed on top of it.
Still recall this menace from 2014 when i started playing. Played Arcade back then and was like super scared when i saw one in the scoreboard for the enemy team.
I actually fought against one of these when i was in my turan 1 and it felt like a boss fight, 3 tanks including me firing at it doing almost nothing and i ended up just rushing the side and just firing at the tower with the main turret and somehow took it out. One of the best feelings ever
22:30 a teeter totter / seesaw cap would be great for a new game mode with a huge cap point, or as a replacement for that Naval single cap game mode. I wonder if it would help or compound the issue of many players going to 'the meta' point of the map if it was a straight replacement.
Between color contrast and planes not rendering, playing anti-CAS can be a pain. It's great when you're staring at a plane coming in, watch it vanish, then reappear as it engages with you XD
get keybinds for the secondary gun and the machinegun. you will be able to control the rear .50cal and aim your 45mm cannon properly. also bring APCR for the 45mm cannon. you sometimes need the extra penetration (like at 15:00). it's good for shooting at planes too because of it's high velocity.
This thing is amazing to play in it tier. I won a lot of battle with that thing. At full speed you can punch through enemy line easy and give them hell. The fact you have two gun give you a lot of fire power that can stun the enemy real quick

Anyone remember the original multi turreted train, the T-35? You could park that thing behind a rise and just fire into the enemy till they destroyed you, you were a mobile firing line😅
it used to be worse, the ammo racks used to be a solid block...and would almost always detonate from a hit, now that it has simulated ammo racks its a whole lot better.
lol your battle with two crew around the 17 min mark....you know what would be REALLY cool and REALISTIC....if crew members would CLEAR the seat and be capable of taking a few seconds to switch between those two turrets, even dropping the driver to go full turret, or even both in one turret. tbh the latter would require to many commands, but it would be pretty easy to set the crew up to move positions by selecting the weapon selection
oh yea your right having a function where over cap is posible, meaning 5 blues and 3 reds on the point, it caps like 2 on the point, OR tbh it should be slower but not at decapping, just on the capture half
oh wow so each shell is now its own entity, i hope they implemented that well so its not impactful to performace, since it only needs to exist as something to track for dmg calulations, but if they really did do this and its on all tanks...maybe there is one thing gayjin have done in the last few years that means a damn
I don't know if it's people learning, or just the center massness of it, but I always get shot in the neck. SMK can be fun, but it's too tall and vulnerable. I prefer other land battleships.

heavy tanks in downtiers are the most fun you can have in this game. Well, that and proxy round artillery against aircraft.

I hope that one day we get the T-100 heavy tank in the game, either through the new event vehicle system or through the Battle Pass.
