  • Any bike is a travel bike with the Post Carry Co. Transfer Case. Pack your road or gravel bike in its most compact size possible for easy travel, avoiding fees, and versatility at your destination. Road or gravel bikes are compatible as long as their cables are external or partially external (fully internally routed bikes are incompatible since their forks cannot be easily taken off).

Did you guys make a change to your bag? I bought it a few years ago, and the side with no wheels sags. Also ever considered adding 2 wheels more? It helps reinforce the area that sags and gives your customer choices to push the bag, carry it with one hand, or carry it as a backpack. There's no airline fee anymore, so you are competing with any other soft bag. But I still think your bag is well crafted, a great design, with a couple of improvements.

do i have to remove the bottle cages? thanks

You should remove them, or at the very least, loosen the bolts to take the stress off the bolt holes.
Things tend to get tight in the Case because it's so compact! Taking them off reduces the chances of bottle cages, which are fragile, from getting damaged!

will a Giant TCR Advanced SL ISP fit into it if i take off the saddle and the cranks?

Thanks for asking and I've responded to your email. Basically, an ISP frame will fit only if the frame is small or if the ISP is cut short.

Have you traveled with tubeless tires? Do you have to deflate all the way to fit in the case?

    • @postcarryco

It depends how big the tire is. With road tires (28C or less) you just need to deflate it slightly. With bigger gravel tires, deflate it to as low as it needs in order to fit the wheel pockets of the Transfer Case. Then put some air back in the tire while they're inside the Case. You just need a few psi to preserve the bead seal.

@@postcarryco thx! haven’t switched to tubeless yet but I’d like to on next build with some ~38c tires. I love the travel case so much I’m limiting bike decision to what is compatible

I pack my bike in a similar way. I am glad to see someone doing something similar.
I also remove discs, chain, derailleur.... but to make the whole thing even more compact I also remove cranks and the cassette.
I am using a cardboard box (trimmed) and I will definitely get one of your cases when I go to the USA

Get a better bag. That amount of work to fit the bike in the bag is just ridiculous.

It's not for everyone! But many can attest to this bag's benefits.
