- Beryl remains a tropical storm as of Sunday but is expected to gain strength and return to hurricane status before making landfall early Monday morning.

Most of the expected power interruptions will be from winds over 45 MPH causing the High Voltage power cables to "slap" "oscillate" and "arc". They won't last long, but there could be several of them. Some residents won't live in areas where automatic-power-rerouting keeps interruptions down to a minimum. Copano Bay to Port Lavaca and Matagorda Bay will see most tidal changes. San Louis Pass at Galveston Island only needs 3 feet above high tide to be unpassable. High Tide is expected at 7:33 AM at Galveston
