There are so many great songs by Sting and by The Police and this selection was just a few of them. I also have had them react to other Sting songs previously and they are still here on this channel, I will link below to save you some time searching through all the videos on my channel for those who haven't watched them already. Ashtyn is thinking of the genre known as reggae... the police were known (early on) for their unique reggae / rock fusion. In fact, they are the only non reggae band that had some of their songs covered by real reggae bands. would have really liked to have seen your reaction to "walking on the moon" the original video won't be blocked i think.
The Police had a 'ska' influence, which is a genre itself influenced by 'reggae' and 'rock'. But yeah, pretty sure Ashtyn just meant 'reggae'. I doubt she's ever heard of 'ska', if she referred to reggae as 'rastafarian', lol.
@@shspurs1342 She refers to 'Hawaiian beach music' - that's a steelpan drum originating from the Caribbean islands Trinidad and Tobago. My school had its own steel band that played these things often so its a very rocgnisable sound to me.
Guys show some emotions and passion for your content... For God’s sake this is Sting & The Police- One of the best that ever embraced the world of music.
As a huge Sting fan Im disappointed by the lack of appreciation for the true musical quality of his songs. And i think people should react to any artist preferably to the ORIGINAL music videos that were MEANT for them, instead of alternative versions that best please the fans. The music video for "If I Ever Lose My Faith" was really great, cinematographic, exciting, mystical and fun too - I'm sure they would have appreciated the song better while watching it!
Did you guys not make the connection between Sting and the Police? That Sting is the lead singer and songwriter for the Police? I got the impression you guys hadn’t twigged that that singer with the blonde hair that looks like your cousin is the same bloke you just watched in the Sting video!!
The 'Hawaiian beach music' is called a 'Steel Band' - it's a set of drums made from metal instead of the regular drum materials, so the sound is very different.
Good music for react. Put for the next reactions, a special of Cocteau Twins: "Iceblink Luck", "Bluebeard", " Heavent or Las Vegas", "Cherry-coloured Funk", the most famous songs of this band.
Bob Marley never sung 'Red Red Wine' though. Ashtyn is probably thinking of the reggae version by UB40, which is the most widely known cover of that song.
The vibe is calypso and reggae in the two Police songs. It was known as “white reggae” or “rock reggae” back then. A lot of post punk bands used this style of music and it was bloody great. Check out “Ghost Town” by The Specials. What a tune that is.
Hi guys can u plz react to Selena Quintanillas disco medley live from the astrodome . Selena was the famous singer killed in the 90s and this was a famous performance of hers.

Mostly it’s because that is the way Stewart Copeland plays the drums.

Reggae, for the love of god! Lol
Best comment, I was thinking the same thing....lol
OMG...hou guys make me sad - how can you NOT know what reggae is! Have you been grown in a cave?
The nickname 'Sting' came from a yellow and black jumper he used to always wear when he joined the band, they band joked he looked like a bee.
The Police get my vote for being the greatest ever New Wave band.
The drummer Stewart Copeland is American , if you two didn't know..used to have big backstage fights with Sting
Sting actually used to be a schoolteacher and wrote don't stand so close to me based on some of the advances he got from female students.
Wow that’s amazing man! I can’t believe that no one responded to ur comment

Gordon Summner Aka Sting, was a teacher before he got into music, hence the song.
Message in a Bottle is a Police classic
