I have a 512 pro ultimate. Feels and looks like the Left one on ur video. I don’t understand the WW. Mine has the WW. But really has hard packaging and the 2 looks same like left one.
Just bought a cheap 512 gb as card from AliExpress. The write was around 10MB/s while the read was 15 MB/s (capacity is 8GB. Immediately asked and received the refund.
This is a serious issue. I just had to return 2 SD cards from Amazon. I ran the SanDisk through a series of tests that indicated it was half the size I paid for and likely counterfeit.
Indeed. Especially if not checked before the return window. I would imagine most issues people have with this card is due to them having a counterfeit card.
@@livinlifetothefullest2750 The one I bought is the same product, but is sold to Asian countries (Japan, China, South Korea). In the video he shows a fake one that probably doesn't have 512GB, probably much less, these micro SDs are horrible.
The Samsung Pro Plus is supposed to have a read speed of 180mb and a write of 130mb. While yours says 160mb read and 130mb write. Are you sure the other one is also real.
I bought a samsung pro plus sd card for my gopro and my gopro keep saying that i need to upgrade my sd card so i started to become worried that it may be a fake. After watching your video i realized that it was a fake and decided to verify by using h2testw and now it doesn't show up on my computer and i can't return it because i bought it of a second hand platform online. I hope the seller responds if not then i will have to contact the platform and i don't know if i will get my money back.
@@OgBlondyOficial the one I bought was authentic, just in case before opening it I compared the one I bought with the one in the video. I've been using it for a while and everything is perfect.
Authentic card has a real write/read speed 135/78 instead of 160/120. I bought it two years ago. But the card is good comparing to trascend and kingston cards.
The card on the right, buy on Amazon, is fake, ok. But what about the original on the left, which store did you buy it from ? What is the website to buy the original ? I didn't see in the video you say the name of the store where you buy the original
I've purchased 2 more cards from Amazon and they have both been authentic. I will still run the Samsung authenication utility even if the package looks authentic. This is more to help if you are buying from someone/somewhere with no return possibilities
It would vary wildly and it wouldn't be anywhere near the advertised speeds. They buy the cheapest cards available that are usually defects or that they can't sell and revamp them to look similar as shown in the video. From my experience, to make them seem more genuine and less likely to be returned I assume, they use cards that are the same storage size (instead of changing the values to mimic the storage size) of a much cheaper brand and revamp them to sell at a higher price
It was fulfilled by Amazon. The problem is that Amazon mixes their stock with the 3rd party stock so it's hit or miss no matter who the seller is. Amazon gets paid either way so they don't really have much incentive to fix the problem.
Chillax bro. Not all stores will allow returns on open merchandise and you can't check the serial number or run the utility without opening the card. This is just the first line of defense on against fraud. Brain used.
Hola ami me sale en la micro SD made in philippinas y en el adapter made in china, es fake? Soy de Argentina gracias... y los 2 me sale diferentes no iguales osea de d 128 y el de A2
Thanks for the comparison. Most people wouldn't be able to spot the fake.
most people are not that stupid and will just check for serial numbers or through barcode
the read and write speed fonts are different also!
You just saved me from buying a fake, cheers.

Very interesting. I'd actually be interested to see the difference in performance of the cards!

Amazing, thank you. I'll need a lot for my new retro handheld consoles' shop.

I bought a 128GB one from AliExpress (China) and it looks similar to the original. Thanks man!
I'd like to what those Sansumg branding is like. Are they fake, can't they use the official spelling or are they generic equivalent kinda thing?

There's 3 different speed versions. Amazon shows this.

I bought one on amazon, your video will help me to know if it is false. thank you
Was it fake or was it original? I want to buy one but I'm not sure if those microSD are original on amazon

Thanks man,, I almost got a fake one from Ali express

Samsung store
The only online retailer I would trust is Samsung. In Store you would be fine at Best Buy, Micro Center

thanks. can you do read and write spee test?
might be a bit late haha nvm
Yeah, I ran out of time. My return window snuck up on me. I just plastered the package with "counterfeit" and sent it back.
Thanks a lot. This information is helpfull and unique 👍
How is the quality of the fake one? Like... does it have the same storage capacity, is the read/write speed anywhere near the real one?

Very helpful, thanks
I just received the right one, exact same copy and its totally fake, read write are slow, and every data transferred to it, keep corrupted. Damn.

The Samsung Utility is the best way to know for sure. This is just a first line of defense by looking at the packaging
I bought a hp fake and realised only after 6 months later
Bummer
i guess the fake one is still from Amazon but just a fullfilled by amzon and the seller is a 3rd party?
