  • In this video, I talk about my insights about how to journal for wellbeing, reflection and clarity. Journaling if done regularly can be a very meditative process and I deeply recommend trying it!!
    I’m still experimenting with different video styles so apologies for the bizarre facial expressions and cuts - just didn’t have enough videos to fill in the voiceover so used a lot of random bloopers 🤣. Let me know if you enjoy this style.

    I use my journal for anything I ever need to write down in the moment. It could be deep reflections, emptying my mind and using the slow deliberate pace to find time for insights. It is also all the little things - the shopping lists, reminders, appointments and so on - and those are what make me keep it close at hand. They make me carry it with me everywhere, and re-read my earlier stuff regularly. They reinforce the habit, those little things. It's just for me, so it doesn't have to be neat or thematic. It's a nice glimpse at what my life was like at any given time, unconstrued and real.

    Your voice is so soothing that I feel like I'm just getting out of meditation haha. Thank you for sharing your insights into the many benefits of journaling. I'm motivated to start journaling again!

    thanks for this. I've thrown away my journals from middle school and high school because I was so ashamed of myself. I'm now 22 and going to try to journal again because I don't want to run away from insecurities anymore. I feel like your video sort of gave me the final push to start journaling again haha thanks again.

    Thanks for this, you bought up some great points. For me perfectionism is a big problem so I get your message, 'Just do it!' I'd be really interested to see some of your illustrations as I think drawing/doodling in your journal is just as important as writing. Sometimes I feel like I can draw a feeling better than trying to write about it in words or that I just want to measure or relate something visually.

    Love it when you act all playful and cute in the intros. Your personality really shining thru.
    I'm not a psych student so I can't relate to some of your vids, but I do like the subject. Can u do videos discussing specific psychology topics you're interested in?
    Might attract a bigger audience since your vids are a little niche rn.

    Your video style should be whatever you feel works well for your audience.
    I suggest using a combination of illustrations and filler scenes (this is nearly every scene used in this video)

    my journals are so messy usually haha, i so not really separate it into paragraphs. i write so fast sometimes, yes im a perfectionist and then sometimes it looks even messier when im nervous because im focusing too much on how neat i should be writing and stuff like that.
